MORE BUTTONS IN MBSID CS STEP3?

Hi everyone

The other day I saw photos of chriss' s 4xSID CS step 3 on the forum on the "Midibox of the week" section and I realized that he has implemented two more dedicated control buttons and 5 more leds, probably to control the new functions of the MBSID version 1.6 final.

I was wondering how can something like this be realized? (I am currently constructing my CS). Does it require modification of main.asm and if yes, how can this be done?

I would be nice to be able to control more sid functions from the control Surface - I do not at all say that it is not fantastic in its current state  :D

Cheers

Hi Bosone,

the first button and leds i implemented were for the LFO Sync.

After Thorsten came out with version 1.6 i wanted to control the shape of the envelopes aswell with buttons.

I was wondering how can something like this be realized? (I am currently constructing my CS). Does it require modification of main.asm and if yes, how can this be done?

Yes you need to change the main.asm. I can only tell you what to do for the changes i made, for your own you maybe need to ask Thorsten..

And look here:http://www.midibox.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=mios;action=display;num=1057816092;start=5#5

Hi Hermes,

Just wondering: where must I connect the extra buttons and leds in the din and dout chain? Are these buttons and leds the last ones in the row?

You can connect them wherever you want, just need to adapt the mios_io_tables.

Thats the file where you can route any funktion to any Din/Dout.
