Hermes Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Hi guysI am going to order a custom PSU for my 4xSID, since I have not been able to find a c64 PSU (i HAVE 8 sid CHIPS, 4 X 6581 AND 4 X 8580, but no c64...)The question is: Must I build the PSU with separate voltages: 5V DC and 9V AC and use TKs sxhematic for the improved C64 or does anyone have a better suggestion? An answer to this question might clear up things for everyone who cannnot find a c64 psu and has to order a custom made one...thxhermes
pay_c Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 For best noise to signal ratio you should take TK´s design as an orientation, so yes, one 9V and one 5V thing. You can also use one 15 Volt line for all power stuff, but the SNR will get really bad (I tried it).Greetz
