i know this is not related with midi, but could u help me please

i listen to music on the net but my hi-fi is to distant from my computer too run cables between !

so i want to build me a radio FM transmitter to plug into my sound card headphones jack !!!

i've found some schematics on the net, but..

due to my lack of knowledge in electronics i cant choose the best !!

PLEASE HELP ME and point me to the best project !!

i need no more than 50 meters of trasmission but it MUST be in very good quality .

the parts must be as common as possible with no hard-to find.

it should be operated by batteries.. best = 1.5v but also possible 3v and 9v.

of course it MUST be a stereo.

posibility to change" station" (=fm frequency).

with NO frequency loss on the way = sound received must be exactly the same as "sound in"

oh yes.. it should be simple to build as i m only a hobbeist

thanx

Hi,

it's not really  simple to build such a transmitter for a hobbiest. In fact that there are many ready solutions for small money on the market.

For example: VIVANCO. It's about 70€ in excellent quality with batterie boxes in stereo.

You won't be able to build that for that money.

Hi,

ok. 70 Euros is a lot of money....

I don't know the chips used in your applications.  One thing you should keep in mind:

Is it legal in your country to send in the FM Band ?

- You will get a lot of trouble in the FM Band (in my country).  Profesional wireless systems are using other (higher) frequencies.

(The VIVANCO Set uses 868 MHz)

- The quality of DIY FM transmissions are normally poor (I did it once but the result was lousy !). No diversity. A lot of noise, and so on.

The cheapest way for your problem is a long cable .... ;D
