stryd_one
Run a google search for PIC ASM Programming, for MIDI Technical Fanatic's Brainwashing Center, and search around on here and www.ucapps.de for info about programming eeproms. That should help.Cheers
ESPguitar
Ok,,,Look at this- http://tomscarff.tripod.com/control/cc_on_ct.gifCan you tell me something about it? Is O/P 0 - 7 "control outputs? to an op amp? And what the heck is midi channel? Thanks for your help..RB
LiFo
midi has 16 different channels so with that dip switch i gues you choos which one you send or listen on O/P is just an output what you connect to it is up to youit could be just an LED or an driver and an relay
Screaming_Rabbit
Look at this- http://tomscarff.tripod.com/control/cc_on_ct.gif... just see a blank page :( (... might be my firewall)Greets, Roger
moebius
I see "Image Hosted by Tripod" .gif logo. ;)Tripod uses referrer logging to prevent off-site image linking. Better go to the page, where you can find the picture, "Circuit Schematics": http://tomscarff.tripod.com/prg_chx8/program_change.htmBye, Moebius
ESPguitar
Ok, then i start to understand this (i think)What about the programming of that chip??What can i tell the chip to do"?? ESPguitar
What' output RA0/AN ouputs??And what's the SW "output's or something?(on this link again http://tomscarff.tripod.com/control/cc_on_ct.gif)R.B.
moebius
This is not a Midibox subject.Ask all these questions from Tom. (the guy selling those (non Midibox) boards)In the MIDIbox context (and maybe further help in this forum), try this: http://69.56.171.55/~midibox/forum/index.php?topic=4313.0 (and maybe http://www.ucapps.de/floorboard.html)Bye, Moebiusp.s. RA0/AN outputs do nothing - "SW's" are used to send midi program send messages. And the programming of the chip - you have to order one from Tom Scarff.. this has nothing to do with midibox.
m0n0mania
Tom's stopped selling boards & PICs now, but he's kindly left all you need to roll your own. You'll have to download the code & burn your own PICs & make your own PCBs too.
NeveSSL
I am looking into building a MIDI switcher for my guitar rack as well. Check this guys site: http://www.jimkim.de/html/guitar01_01.htmHe is very helpful, too, if you ask him questions. I'll let you know if I get anywhere with mine. I'm about to move, so it'll be a month or two before I am able to begin, but I need one for my rig as well. As far as I can tell, it would only cost about $50 us to build one. He provides the software. I'm also considering building a footcontroller based on the MIDIbox concept. :) Brandon
