d2k Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 well, i've finally got round to the actual fabrication of the mbhp modules (only after a 100 odd posts :P)...on the first run, i made the a couple mirrored, so in order to save them i just soldered in eveything mirrored - should everything be okay? is it okay to run the IC's upside down (as it's mirrrored) i just bent the pins a full 90 degress so it all matched right...now to make more boards - this time the right way round ;)
d2k Posted January 23, 2003 Author Report Posted January 23, 2003 btw, voltages test okay on these! ;)
d2k Posted January 23, 2003 Author Report Posted January 23, 2003 actually, the voltages are not okay...using a 9v 500mA to test the core with. on input measure is 11.7V and at the points where it should be 5V it still measures 11.7...:(
d2k Posted January 23, 2003 Author Report Posted January 23, 2003 whoops, had the 7805 stuffed the wrong way...now i'm gettin 4.5V ;)...
TK. Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 Hi Dan,with the mirrored board it will be really difficult to prevent soldering errors - but it's possible. Be careful!Best Regards, Thorsten.
kieran Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 you could call it the "MBHP Special Edition" ;D flipside! :D
