Hello to all midiboxer!  :)

I'm going to build my own midi controller  to...well...control my sequencer..

I have Cubase VST 5 (ok I'm aware it's not up to date - please don't laugh  :-[ ;D  ;) )

will a timecode display work with my sequencer?

Can anyone give info about making a timecode display (parts, connections,...)

Thank you so much  :) ;) :D

UP MIDBOX !!!!

I don't use Cubase, but most sequencers can send MTC.

Can anyone give info about making a timecode display (parts, connections,...)

If you only need timecode, you can omit the LCD display.

Hello!

Thank you for helping.

Cubase can actually  send MTC

Which led digits to use ? (specifications,...)

However I'm wondering what the "status displays" is for. I haven't found any detalied info about it  ???

Again thank you  ;) :)

Julien,

I've used the "LCD-less" MIDIMon for that from Nuendo. It will also detect and display regular beat clock, if that appears in the stream. You can check or uncheck them in the Cubase sync panel to turn them off.

TK- If you should see this-- I don't think it does non-4/4 time signatures in beat clock mode. It's not supposed to is it?

PS- Check the actual pinning of the segment modules you use. I've got two different dual digit display parts here with different pinouts.
