MIOS Upload problem: Overrun error. Abort after 3 errors.

Recommended Posts

Has anyone experienced this message when communicating with the CORE?

Taken from the MIOS HEX FILE UPLOADER

-----------------------------------------

Received error code 0B: MIDI IN Overrun Error

Sending block 00005500-000055FF

Error: Received unexpected Upload Request

Sending block 00005500-000055FF

Received error code 0B: MIDI IN Overrun Error

Aborting after 3 errors

Since my 1st CORE programmed normally, this was quite unexpected.

I'll poke around the board a little more and see if there's more information.

JD

TK,

Attempted to program within 2 seconds of power-on. Several attempts, consistant results as noted above.

Swapped my 2nd CORE_R4 processor to my #1 CORE_R4 (known good), and had the exact same issue.

Also noted more current draw from the voltage regulator... a little warmer than usual.

Looks like a partially dead processor.

THX,

JD

What were you trying to upload?  Is it possible you were trying to upload an application before uploading MIOS?  Which version of MIOS did you upload?

Like TK says it does look like you were sending an upload without the PIC requesting it.  Have you tried using MIOS Studio with "Wait for upload request" checked off?  You have to press start before you power on the core, but doing this has always worked for me.  I've never been able to kill a PIC.  And I've tried ;D
