jwillans Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Fairly new to PCB assembly. I've seen the legs which effectively bolt to a surface and then the PCB screws into these. Is there an equiavlent where the leg can be glued/stuck to a surface? Ideally I would want plastic ones so the PCB can clip onto the leg? Many thanks,James
Sasha Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Yes, you could see that kind of spacers or as you call it legs on the computer motherboards. I`m not sure where to get it, but it shouldn`t be hard. Ask the guys from computer repair service.
DavidBanner Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 ahh ha! I found just such a thing recently and was well pleased, very cheap and saves a whole lotta drilling and bolting....http://www.rapidonline.com/productinfo.aspx?tier1=Tools%2c+Fasteners+%26+Production+Equipment&tier2=Fasteners+%26+Fixings&tier3=Fixings+%26+PCB+Pillars&tier4=Self-adhesive+PCB+pillars&moduleno=64771
stryd_one Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Or you could try Wilba's JB Weld trick...
