Please take a quick look at these ALPS faders

Hi,

I am going to get ALPS faders as suggested throughout the forum. I am looking to buy them at Farnell - http://uk.farnell.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp?sku=1191712. These say they are PCB mount though, but they look like they have screw threads and the top and bottom ends. Can I panel mount these, does anyone know? If not any suggestions where I might find Panel mount ALPS faders - I'm after 60mm ones.

you'll be fine with those

The legs don't have the hoops on them, so soldering will be a LITTLE more fiddly but by no means impossible

I've just finished soldering looms with 36 panel mounts pots, with the wires soldered directly to the legs. So it's perfectly do-able.

and yes you have the holes on the top to fix the little begger to the front face plate

Just watch out, that the screws have the appr. lenght or they will "touch" the res-taper
