Problem with DINX1

My core and sid pcbs and 2x40 lcd are working fine. Now it's time to add some control. I build a dinx1 with all the appropriate parts. I tested the voltages across the ic holder and got 5v. I plugged in the ic and turned on the unit and I get nothing that tells me the cs is working. I attatched the step a cs to the board and rebooted, still nothing. Am I missing the bus? I've search all over this forum and found noone with the same problem that had a explaination on how to fix it. I'm using smashes boards and BSL 1.2b MIOS 1.9e.

Can you post a picture of your board?

Perhaps you have connected it to J8 instead of J9?

Which application do you use (Midibox 64, LC...)?

It's on j9. What do you mean by application? It's a sid.

1st question - have you uploaded the SID application on top of MIOS (sorry gotta check this 1st, even though I'm pretty sure you have if the LCD works)?

if so  it might be time to try one of the test applications which show all DIN, DOUT, AIN stuff going on in real time
