cosmosuave Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Which pins are Vd and Vs on the J1 connection of the SID core PCB? I am wiring up the 14+ line and am not sure which pin of J1... If you know please use the J1 label as a reference...Thanks... Quote
nILS Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Well. Um.. First of all, which PCB are you talking about? SID or CORE? Referring to the label - which board are you using? Mike's or Smash's?Anyways - J1 goes directly into a rectifier, which means you can feed it AC or DC in any polarity as described here http://ucapps.de/mbhp_core.htmlJ1: Connection to the powersupply. Either the output of a 7V-10V transformer, or a wall adapter can be used. 500 mA is recommented, especially if a backlit display is used, but MIDIfilter and MIDImerger work also with ca. 100 mA. AC or DC doesn't matter, since the rectifier behind J1 converts to DC anyhow. Also the polarity has not to be taken into account. Quote
cosmosuave Posted February 13, 2008 Author Report Posted February 13, 2008 Ooops I'm using Smash's SID R3A board and I did notice that both pins go into the AC side of the rectifier so I guess it does not matter...Thanks... Quote
