getting all the parts

Hey all,

I am starting this blog so everybody can follow how I am doing with the MB9090 project.

This can also be a place on this great site where people can find answers if they would like to do the same thing or post comments.

I should also mention that I am not an electronics expert at all, I have only made a few small things before I started building a xoxbox.

The xoxbox is now working....great machine.

I have read through files here and gone through other websites and would like to thank the people behind these sites:

In a first stage I will make the 9090, afterwards I will make a MB808 like sequencer (hopefully I can make a MB Seq v4 kind).

I have now ordered most parts from Mouser, Reichelt and Nikko electronics and of course the PCB's from Trevor.

As soon as I have all the parts I will let you know more.

Kind regards

Jef

Do you have all the rare parts? I bought two of some rare parts, so I have some spares. Tell me if you are interested in buying a set. I can have a look what parts I considered rare.

I have found almost all the "original" parts.

Here's a little list where I found them:

Rare parts from Reichelt:

CA 3080 DIP Op-amp, DIP-8

SC 2603 Transistor 2SC 2603

SC 2878 Transistor 2SC 2878

SA 1115 Transistor 2SA 1115,Si-P,50V,0.2A,0.3

Nikko Electronics Ltd:

2SD 1469R

What I didn't find:

1SS133

2SA798

Hiya. I could scrounge up some 2SA798s if you're really needy. I got them way back when I defensively hoarded "exotics" from Futurlec or Electronic Surplus et al. See 2SA 798. They're only 0.61 US a pop. Do yourself a favor and buy a few if you ever plan on doing more DIY.

In Germany you can try HTV-Service

The 1SS133 diode over the guarden variety 1N4148 is just being silly. It won't alter the sound. At all. Mouser or HTV-Service carries those if you're fussy.
