Altitude 58 Posted August 18, 2011 Report Share smash boards are blue? coolness, Just a tip on those displays get a bigger, finer pot on the core to dial those in brightness wise, it took a while to find the sweet spot on mine.. Quote Link to comment
rosch 3 Posted August 20, 2011 Report Share absolutely! i'll take some of those multiturn trimmers that work great on the shruthis. i just soldered the stock guys in this time but already regret it. depending on how they're set the displays are changing brightness every second or so (could also be i've produced a bad solder joint). i've already found a spot that works but i guess using a good trimmer will be a big difference. yeah smash's board looks great. btw this is a great design. absolutely easy to solder, everything worked perfectly. if you have a close look you'll notice that i did not read the entire building docs: i've failed to break off those metal sticks on the encoders, dummy. so i'll probably put a little piece of heat shrink tube over the leds :D yup i'll make a video, at least i'll try hehe. Altitude 58 Posted August 22, 2011 Report Share those tabs will come off no problem with an everyday lead trimmer.. That cast aluminum isnt exactly the hardest stuff in the world Quote Link to comment
Antix 8 Posted August 22, 2011 Report Share Hi Rosh, Is it the Wilba PCB or .....where do you get it please? Quote Link to comment
rosch 3 Posted August 22, 2011 Report Share yes, it's Wilba's design, but i got it from smash TV (pcb, kit, STMcore kit). i wrote myself on Wilba's bulk order list in the wiki, some time ago. smash's working through that list and contacted me when it was my turn. Quote Link to comment
