  1. Doc007 - I don't know if this minimizes things... but what about UPS?  I have an account with UPS... maybe that makes things easier?  Another option would just be regular post with tracking.  Honestly I'm no expert, and if any of my suggestions here are more trouble for you than they are worth, I'll just suck it up and pay the DHL.

[EDIT]  OK.  Maybe I should try reading your post better.  It's still morning here in the USA.  I don't want to cause you more trouble than it's worth... and I appreciate you doing the group buy.  There's nowhere (that I know of) to get a case like that in the US.  So, if regular post isn't a lot cheaper/won't work for any reason, just send UPS, and I'll take care of it.

  2. This sounds great!  Really cool, Peter!

I've always been a fan of Ensoniq... even before I was hip to the Yannes connection.  Not only do I love the sound, but the ESQ-1 was the originator of my love for VFDs in synth gear...

ALMOST got my hands on an ESQ-M recently... It's still on me radar.

Yeah... Ensoniq got a bad rap... Somewhat deserved from what I hear... I took a synth repair class w/a guy who has been on the scene since the 70s in some pretty high places... and he certainly didn't mince his words when it came to Ensoniq.   That said, Mr. Yannes did pretty ok in the end.  Ha!

  3. Although... being that it was your arrangement (or was it?) of the composition and not the original recording... that should be legal I would think.   I don't want to hijack the thread on this tangent, but that's some BS, IMHO.  Maybe because it's possible to make money from a YouTube account they don't allow it.  So weird and hard core.  Makes no sense.  Considering I'm someone who makes a portion of my income from performance royalties... if someone did an arrangement of one of my tunes [oh, as if] and put it on YouTube, I'd have no issue.  If someone else posted an actual recording I had released...well, then my eyebrow muscles could get some exercise.

Anyway... looking forward to your next video!

  4. I see you have one set of SEQ4 panels...I'm just about to go for that.
    2 Questions:

    1. It is actually in stock?
    2. Is there a way to get a case too?  Doesn't look like there will be a bulk order... Or should I just put a request out in the flea market?   EDIT:  Maybe I should read the whole thread.  Hmmm.  Those cases are hard to come by without a bulk order... especially for the US it seems.  Might have to improvise one...

      Order placed.  Thanks.

    Thanks!

  5. This looks great!  Hmmm.  Writing my own application?  Sounds like a bit of a learning curve for me.  That said... only one way to learn!  I'll be looking out for those boards at the MIDIBox shop.
