i use linux for 5-6 years, for music it's not actually excellent but good now i sequence midi with rosegarden or Muse or jazz (more stable but old) there is a good ASIO clone : JACKIT at sf.net a good Recorder : Ardour it becaune in few weeks in 1.0 and there is more soft synth but no sampler for more info see www.linuxsound.at the big problem is that there is more and more config file to modify and libraries to install, it's just the problem TUx en chocolat

Salut a tous j'ai realiser il y a peu une MB16 avec le firmware modifié pour les NRPN (permet de controller diverses boites a rythmes : EA1 MC303 et ca marche super ) si ca vous interressent poster a tux.tuxoide@9online.fr seulement le week donc apres le SID je vais tenté la MIDIBOX MIOS enfin la NG mais les infos pour la faire sont epparpillées dans le site quelqu'un peux til me dire si cela vaut le coup de la commencer tout de suite ou vaut il mieux attendre encore un peu car j'ai vu qu'un module usb allé pas tardé non plus je souhaite faire une MB avec 9 faders motorisés et au moins 3 ecrans LCD 2x12 est ce realisable facilement et les fader de bonnes qualités se trouvent où et a combien ?? salut j'ai fais une MB64 (16 potars et 8 boutons ),mais les photos je l'ai aient pas la à quelle @ je l'ai envoi car là elle sont pas repertoriées sur le site et j'ai fait une modif du firmware pour controller ma MC303 et mon EA-1 mais rien est a dispo sur le site ucapps et je sais pas pourquoi :'( :'( savez vous sur quoi travaille Thorsten en ce moment ??, car j'ai l'impression que il y a des projets cachés derriere les fagos en particulier un SID control panel et une NG qui se fait attendre ;D ;D

Hello i have a MIDIBOX64 , and i want to know if it's possible to send a snapshot of all my Pot to a sequencer as cubase. ex : for configuring the cutoff and resonnance of a instrument at the start of a midi track. i know a can make a snapshot of my midibox but to send it to a sequencer ??? when i want ??? :'( :-/ Olivier

c bon les midiboxien vous allez peut être avoir un nouveau firmware pour la MB64 , avec enfin l'implentation des NRPN pour les potars , c a dire que vous pourrez controller par exemple votre EA-1 ou MC303 avec la MB :) j'ai implementé cette fonction et l'ai envoyé a Thorsten , et j'espere qu'il va la publier car moi ca m'avance bien Tux

i see that the TC is much powerfull but you can controlling , actually one parameter a time as the MBOX64 can controlling all parameter you have in your hand ;D ;D so a tit question, iT's in one month you add a MIOS for the MB64 ? or you stand for finish your other project ? it's just a question ;D Best Regards, Olivier

for the meta event the problem is , ...that i have cut the button F1 - F4, nad i have just 8 normal buttons :-/ but i'll think i change that, if it's the solution ;)

Hello Thorsten i know it's not easier but it work, it's a solution before the making a new midibox 64 firmware another thing, i don't know why but the parameter 0xb0 0x63 0x3 isn't use for controlling the EA1 ??? strange and the SECOND CHANNEL EFFECT SELECTION START AT 0x20 and no 0x00 as the chanel 1 ;D ;D Best regards, Olivier PS: in the source how many parameter do you use as variable comming from the vmidibox ? , as the TMP1 TMP2 variable. because if you add a TMP3,TMP4 variable you can make a real generic NRPN meta handler i think, is it possible ??

Hello this tips consist to controlling all you want with the midibox and machine that use NRPN ex my EA-1 use 0xBc 0x63 0x03 //for EA1 NRPN base 0xBc 0x62 0xEE // EE is the effect 0xBc 0x06 0xVV //Effect value c :channel EE : effect controller 0x06 for cutoff VV : value 00 to 7F for EA1 -requiert : 2 buttons :for 2 channels 1 boutton assigned to B0 63 03 and B1 63 03 -2 pots for effect selection 0xB0 0x62 0xEE EE: 00 to 7F 0xB1 0x62 0xEE -2 pot for controlling the effect 0xBc 0x06 0xVV //Effect value 1 for 0xB0 0x06 0xVV 1 for 0xB1 0x06 0xVV and bonheur for you but you must know the nb controller of effect use : push one of the 2 button for channel turn the pot of channel selected for effect turn the pot for value effect Question for thorsten : actually , is it possible to assigne a EE value (ex:0x01 ... 0x7F) to a string ex : 0x06 -> cut off 0x08 -> resonnance that when i turn the button the value and string change ?? Hello i make a midibox 64 with 16 pot and have a big problem i have an EA-1 (Electribe EA-1 for novice) :P but when i turn the cutoff pot my EA1 send 3 instructions , and one of this have value 0-127 for a simple cut , it's normal but my midibox learn the first and i can't reproduce the cutoff. is it possible for each pot to save more than one instruction ex 2 fix instructions NRPN ??? and a variable ?? WAHOO , it's great ;) but .... THE PRICE of This :o i'll think for doing this midibox , it will cost many and many dollars or EURO can you tell me a price comparaison than commercial mix table :P but it's great , and i think , i make program on linux for midibox 16

Salut a tous je suis en train de faire la midibox 64 ,bon c vrai que au total la boite reviens tres cher par rapport a une version commerciale mais le firmware a l'avantage d'etre mise a jour reguliairement, et offre de nouvelle possibilité je suis en fin de conception et tout va bien aucun probleme. j'ai acheté recemment un C64 pour quand meme 30 E avec les jeux ;D c vrai que c l'arnaque mais au niveau son ca vaux bien une sorte de mini EA-1 que je trouve trop :D puissant :D :D :D ;D :D ;) sinon je me suis fournis mes composant chez Electronique diffusion a DOUAI dans le pas de calais et contrairment a certain magasin il avait tout jusqu'au PIC 16F (cela me fais penser qu'il faut que je migre en 18F ;D) donc c bizarre que tout le monde ne trouve pas son bonheur chez ED. en tout cas j'attend avec impacience la midibox NG final car la je crois que ca va être trop puissant meme ci elle me coute 3000 balles ca vaudra bien une mackie a 6000 balles A+ les zouaves , Oliv

bonjour a tous je vais démarrer le projet d'une midibox plus en version 16 pot ;) et je vais utiliser le PCB de Martin qui pour moi est plutot pas mal et complet. par contre je voudrai savoir si la liste des composants :midibox_plus_bestelliste.txt est correcte par rapport a ce pcb ? et pluis en meme temps je vais demarrer le projet du floorboard , qui est bien caché dans le site ;D ;D pour ce que ca interresse je maintient le projet Portman PCS for linux www.sourceforge.net/projects/portmanlinux :P Merci pour vos reponses, Olivier
