  1. About my old A/D converter. It does not make sence to give my old schematic out, as some of the parts are not accessible any more. I may be ready to make a new A/D (or A/D + D/A) converter, if someone will spare me (sponce?) the IC's for it. Kent
  2. OK fund a way to get the files in here on the forum. It is hosted on my company site until I find another way to do it. This is just a overview, I will make a pdf of the layout later. Kent
  3. I made the PCB in Protel Advenced PCB Design. I can make a pdf of the layout (It may not be 100% right size, but it should be ok) The main problem now is how to upload it to the forum. Kent
  4. Hello again I have made a PCB board for the MIDI Router slave device, but :-/ how do I put it (as image) on the forum. Or should I email it to you, Thosten. Kent.
  5. Hello again. Just to make things clear. I have made a analog to SP/DIF converter, some years ago, here is part of the component used on it. Cirrus Logic CS5330 18bit A/D converter Cirrus Logic CS8402A SP/DIP Transmitter OP275 Dual Opamp (input buffer) some TTL Logic IC, some passive component, and a crystalgenerator for the selected samplefrequence 12.288MHz for 48KHz and 11.2896MHz for 44.1KHz. The CS8402A is out of prodution but the CS8405A replace it (now goes up to 96KHz), the CS5330 are still made but can be replaced with a better one (CS5333 or the Alesis one or.....) The hard part to get is the crystalgennerator for 44.1Khz samplerate. Hope that help a little more Kent.
  6. Hey Thorsen. If you have a schematic on for a MIDI router with 8 PIC I may be able to make the board for it. Leave me a message and I will look into it. Kent.
  7. Hey d2k If you are going to make a digital out of the SID box, you need more than the A/D converter (AL1101), the output from that one only have what I call "intern SP/DIF" (master clock, L/R clock and data). You need a intern to extern converter like CS8405A from Cirrus, look at [url http://www.cirrus.com/en/products/pro/detail/P57.html Hope that helps MrMusicman
  8. Hey Axel, thanks for the reply. Just to clear things up: 1. About the fadertouch: the fader I am going to use are without touch, that the reason for asking about the "software fadertouch", the problem is if the sequencer is sending data to move the fader and I want to change the movment, I will get in a battle with the motor thying to drive the fader. 2. About the "Shift" key. (I hope that Thorsten will reply). 3. Key and LED order: it's not problem, I just have to wire it correct, but it would be easy to wire it as fit and then make the ajust in a table. 4. LCD: I know that there is the possible to define the position, but I would like to put one user text on when a special sysex is received and another text when another special sysex is received and so on. Like: Received: Display F0 00 00 66 10 11 10 0E F7 Pan F0 00 00 66 10 11 06 18 F7 Send Hope this clear thing up. Thanks MrMusicman
  9. Hey there to all of you and a special thanks to Thorsten for making this project. :D I came cross this site some week ago, and found just what I needed. I was planing to make a Mackie Controller clone, and do all the coding myself, but now I will use MIOS as it have all the function needed for it. 8) But have some questions: 1. Does the MIOS have a function that monitor the fader, so that when the user move the fader it makers a "software" fadertouch. 2. Is it possible to have a key that works as "shift" key, so I can drop some keys. Â Â I want to drop the "Rec enable" key, and use the "Select" together with the "Shift" key sending out the "Rec enable" midi value. Â Â I know how to do it in hardware but if MIOS support it, I can save some components. 3. Does the LED for a key (ak. "Select" key and "Select" LED) have to be in the same place in the shiftregister chain (ak. DOUT 2. IC Â out 3 and DIN 2. IC out 3) or can I make the ajust in the table for MIOS. 4. I am going to use 2 2x40 LCD. Â Â 2. LCD is used for 4 channel and SMPTE/BEATS but 1. LCD is only used for 4 channel. Â Â Is it possible to use the spare char (2 lines of 12 char) for the "Assignment 7-segment display" (on the mackie) with some custom text and the text "SOLO" if the "RUDE SOLO LIGHT" midi message is recieved. I think that will be all for this time. Again Thorsten thanks for a nice site, with some usefull stuff. MrMusicman
