  1. I've been working on other projects until the design is finalised. Which means I dropped this when noone told me what they wanted ;)
  2. Wow that's really cheap! Can someone remind me why we don't always use that guy? :) I assume we already know that the end product is good quality? It would be risky to buy 100 panels if we've never seen one... Well I'm guessing the screening wouldn't be much extra to do Wilba's fancy new labelling? Seeing as everyone is so keen on it....
  3. Nope, pots in parallel only. If you haven't seen the schematic: mbhp_ainx4_64pots.pdf You might have also missed this important notice: auaimbctg.pdf ;)
  4. Yeh sounds like it might be... I mean what you're putting in the code doesn't match what's on the bankstick, and what you read from the bankstick is changing all by itself... That ain't right.
  5. Roland SBX-80 Controller One for you analog dudes
  6. Heya qbas :) What about something like Sysexxer?
  7. You may well be right. I don't think we need to make up the full 5000, but I'm sure that the more interest we have, the greater the likelihood that there will be another run.
  8. No sweat Kieran your name was already mentioned as the "we'll get some for these local dudes" conversation in the chat room :)
  9. I assume you've installed the driver and Jack?
  10. Did you look at the examples at the bottom of the C Interface page? They will show you how to send notes, and how to respond to incoming notes... Then you're set :)
  11. May be time to optimise. :) Not sure why this is.... The 0x20's are space characters " " so there should be a lot of them (at the end of the strings)... but there may be some unwanted ones... So everything is fine for the entire first line, then it packs an extra 0x20 between the lines? Sounds strange... does 0x13 = A ? (first char on the 2nd line) Is 0x0f = 0xb0? I've included some excerpts from the gpasm manual (more technical details are in the MPASM manual) fo your info. You can see that a db entry can have a label, maybe it is using the spaces in front of the line (I don't think so).. I dunno... I also noticed that you didn't set the default radix, but again, that should make no change because you are specifying the radix for every one of those entries (0xnn or "nnnnn"). Maybe 'de' would be more appropriate, or 'dw'... I am stumped though..... Sorry mate. Don't be discouraged, this sort of thing is normal when you try something that has not been done before ;) TK will probably pop by shortly and say "do this" and fix it instantly ;) But You will learn something interesting from testing it for yourself of course.
  12. Guys, I think you've missed the point. The idea here, is that although these knobs are all sold out, more can be made IF we can get enough interest. Nobody is assuming there's a bulk order, we're just saying how many we'd like, to see if we can make up enough to make an order worthwhile. Without enough people to warrant a new production run of these knobs, they will not be available for bulk orders or otherwise. So vote, and post your numbers if you like, and maybe we'll be lucky.
  13. I can't see code so I can only guess but... Remember that SPP Song Start does not actually start playing when received - it waits for the next F8 before that. So you need to send Start first, then the next 0xF8 tick makes it play.
  14. I forgot the ribbon cables and IDC connectors last time I ordered. :-[ ;D Well, plans like this have been discussed many times - if you guys can do it then you are superheroes for sure ;)
  15. Yep FPE sounds like the way to go mate... Unless something better comes along. I do like the idea of the FPE panel unengraved+lexan overlay with transparencies....but is there room to drop the LED's in a bit?
  16. F*** yeh look at the size of that stack! Yeh the red did turn out nice man, good call.
  17. Purple Haze
  18. I really liked "The C Book" which is online and in english
  19. LMAO I like your idea of a tutoring service. I think that already happens to some extent... I mean, I knew no C at all, and Wilba and AC have helped me out (as well as a lot of reading and experiments), and I am helping MTE, and MTE has helped others... It reminds me of a martial arts school, where the skills are passed between students during practise, as well as between teacher and student. And TK is Sensei ;D
  20. Hey dudes if someone would like to test this out come and meet me in the chatroom... my lcd cable is shorting somewhere ::)
  21. Do you get the upload errors when uploading a pre-made app (like clockbox or something)?
  22. Unless that beginner goes and learns how to read a schematic - and that is the idea :) Lots of links have been posted, and google wil help too... It all comes down to whether someone is willing to spend some time and effort to learn. I think I can safely say that the idea of midibox is not just to make a synth/controller/etc, but also to learn something new. Again, it comes down to spending some time and effort to learn - and if a person is really nice, they will then document what they have learned, to help others to learn it faster than they could. That's why a lot of us regulars spend so much time writing wiki articles :) It's good for everyone. But of course we lack the 'newbie perspective" so sometimes our documentation can make assumptions... but that is the beauty of a wiki - when someone finds some information lacking from the document, they can go and find it, and then add it in. :) Hehehe go man go!!
  23. Heat Sink
  24. Sorry squirrel, unless you are using an existing application as found on ucapps.de, you will need to learn to program in C or ASM. MIDI Processor May be right for you
  25. Oldschool FDD cable ;)
