I cant get into the BIOS as I can not see anything on the screen... I will have a look inside tomorrow. Its always such a hassle with the tower (massive and robust big tower = lots of parts and screws)!

Hi guys! I have a *very* big problem with my PC... I was typing a text in notepad for the portal, when suddenly the monitor went off. I thought I had hit the powerswitch under my desk, but then I noticed the monitor LED was flashing (meaning on, but no signal), also the PC was also still on. I switched the PC off manually, and tried to put it back on. The PC started, ther HDD started to spin (maybe - i dont exactly know, the HDD LED is on for longer than normal), but the light on my opticalmouse does not go on and the monitor still does not get a signal. I then tried all conections on a) the PC b) the monitor. Still nothing. I really do not know what to do! Does anybody know anything about this problem?

If GB would join the Euro, stuff like this would be much easier. No charge for international bank transfers. Nice... To your idea with the bank account: I should be possible for you to open a german bank account. I have one in Great Britain and live in Germany ;) But the next problem would be getting the money in the bank account etc... Gedulde dich und lese in der Zeit a) das Forum (hier :D) b) die Ucapps FAQ (http://www.ucapps.de/qa.html) und c) vor allem die MIOS page (http://www.ucapps.de/mios.html) Danach weißt du schon ziemlich viel über uCapps/Midibox/MIOS bescheid! Es gibt bald auch neue Tutorials von erfahrenen "midiboxer". Checke das am 1.10.2003 startenden Portal (www.midibox.org) ab!

I dont think it increases, as it is an EG/EU-internal export/import. The text is just telling you, that you can only *deduct* the VAT from the price if a) you have a "Ust-IdNr." (if you are a company, you will have a VAT-Identificationnumber) or b) if you live outside the EU. The charge for shipping is only the real expense Pollin has, so no fixed charge. So you pay the price you see and can use the "Pay-the-post-man-method" in the Netherlands. I hope I was able to help you.

Protel(http://www.protel.com/) is a big alternative to Eagle, but for most people far too pricey. The old version (99SE) is beeing sold for ~8000US$ at the moment, for people with an old operating system ;) So if you are filthy rich, in which case send me an PM and I will give you my paypal account details, buy Protel, if you dont like Eagle... ;D So, why not learn to love Eagle? Why? Because mainly most people use it, and so a lot of designs are in the Eagle-native format and you can get a lot of support here. I dont think, if this is your problem, that other software are easier to use! It is CAD, it *has* to be difficult.
