Now, before i finally start making the panel, I would like to know, if its possible: MIOS-based MB with: 1) Main Part 8 (+1 Master) Fader (MF?) per Fader: 2 Potis for Aux Send 3 Potis for EQ 1 Potis for Pan 2) Channel Switch Buttons As I only have 8 Fader, I would like to put 4 buttons to change the Fader CC, like if Button 1 is pressed Channels 1 to 8 are used, Button 2 9-16 and so on... 3) 3.1) Envelope 4 Potis 3.2) LFO A + LFO B Each 2 Potis 3.3) Modulation 7 Potis More things are planned, but this should be the main panel. I have planned to make it a "modular system"

Cool is an understatement! That is so cool in the alumium suitcase and the nice panel...! I would love a MB64 like this. What do you use it for, the right part looks like NI Traktor.

Hi guys! Does anybody know a good DIY CNC project? I would like to build a CNC machine to create 19" Frontpanels (big ones*g*). If not, i will have to start my own:) Poeloq PS: Sh**, this Midibox stuff is really addictive! I check the forum now at least 20 times a day:)

As TK has now registered www.midibox.org , work is getting even faster on the Portal! The design (by nILS) is near complete and my scripts are in the final testing stage. Now all we need is: links, reviews (hardware, components, suppliers, Software (music or electronics related) etc...), HowTos, FAQ (topical), Tutorials, your MB Pictures, stories etc... Great design! In what did you design it? The Pot Fader Switching stuff is i nice idea - i need that on mine!!!

Smash, great work you are doing for this community, especially for the US members... It must be pretty time-consuming sorting and packaging all the parts, making the PCBs and then taking it all to the post to send it off...! I really respect people like you! Poeloq

Kennt jemand einen Anbieter für "übergroße" 19" (Front-)platten, z.Bsp. meine 7HE Midibox. Ich habe bisher sowas noch nicht gefunden... Falls es sowas nicht gibt, hätte jemand Interesse an solchen Größen? Ich könnte welche durch meinen Schwiegervater anfertigen lassen... eine Überlegung wäre es ja wert! Poeloq

Es wäre toll, wenn mir jemand entweder einen Link oder Tipps zu folgendem Problem geben könnte: Ich habe von meinem Schwiegervater eine 3mm Aluplatte bekommen, die alledings ziemlich viele Kratzer hat. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, diese Kratzer wegzukriegen? Dann würde ich gerne die Platte Schwarz Lackieren. Was sollte ich da verwenden? Schonmal danke!

I ordered samples, because I really just cant afford the chips. I know they dont cost a lot really, but the whole Midibox does! And as I am a poor pupil, I need to save where possible! But please, if you can afford to buy the chips, buy them and support such a great company as Microchip is, because otherwise it is just plain ignorant! I will as soon as I have enough money... I use a emagic Audiowerk 8 card - 2 ins 3 outs. In the same PC I also have - dont laugh - a SBLive! and a AC97 (??) on-board soundcard, which I sometimes use to monitor Traktor on Headphones :) Poeloq

Mir ist klar das es die PICs bei Microchip umsonst als Samples gibt (da hab ich sie doch selber her!), aber es gibt Leute die brauchen mehr als 3 Stück pro Monat. Außerdem kann es ja auch sein, daß jemand SIDs loswerden will...

The MidiboxPortal @midibox.org will - as Thorsten already said - be going online soon. If its going to be in a week I doubt, but you will be able to see first results then... The Portal will consist of a news service, download service (for software, designs etc...), Surveys, Links, FAQs and Tutorials and diverse other articles.
