  1. as TK stated before, you should either use the C64 PSU or 2 seperate wallwart PSU's question @ all: wouldn't it be possible to put the 7805 behing the 7812 of the sid module? in this way the 7812 would get the 15v from the wallwart and the 7805 could run from the 12V? i wanted to use this setup for my SEQ as well ;)
  2. NO. a pull up resistor is something different. the input pins of the IC have to be in a defined state. So they are on a logical high, when the button is pressed ) and a logical Low when no button is pressed. The pull up resistor is needed to give the Pin of the IC a defined state, when no button is pressed. Whith the pin hanging in the air, you don't know (and either the IC) if the logical state of the pin is High or Low... am i right?
  3. okay, i see the point ;) besides... without my questions i wouldn' have found this forum ;D best, julian
  4. yes, but i can't find anything on that page about changing the application code... wouldn't be something like: "An additional BankStick (24LC256) is required to store 16 songs ( open main.asm with MPLAB IDE, search for DEFAULT_BANKSTICK_SONG_CS and set it to 1. )" better? best, julian

  6. yessss! meanwhile the 2 bank sticks are working (: thanks for the hint! is it mentioned somewhere on the ucapps page that you have to change the source code of the application to use multiple bank sticks? can't remember that i've ever read it... so long, julian
  7. hehe, and i was wondering all the time how this module should manage to create +/- 12v out of +5V ;) what confused me where the arrows pointing away from the IC... same sign as used for the CV outputs... so i need an additional board stuffed with a 7812 and a 7912 etc to supply the aout module... thanks. so long, julian
  8. hello everyone! my SEQ V2 is nearly finished... just waiting for my displays + encoders :-p (I'll never ever make a metall front panel from these dimensions again by hand! what a pain in the a** ;) ) But there remain some questions i've got. 1.) i read that it's possible to connect multiple bank sticks... is the SEQ capable of handling multiple bank sticks? cause when i connect my second bank stick, nothing happens. But when i connect the 1st, a formating procedure is started and the display says loading from bank stick. 2.) what are the jumpers on the AOUT module for? 3.) AOUT again - IC3 and IC4 are marked with +12V and -12V outputs (pin 4 / 11) what are these? should there be always +/- 12V? cause when i measure the voltage on my aout module it's just 0.1 and -0.1V when i turn the seq on... so long and happy soldering y'all, julian
  9. mmmm'kay. thats good. so theres nothing between me and my FM chips (: best, julian
  10. hi, i'm interested i 2 sets as well! I'm living in germany. but i've got no paypal... is it possible to join somebody elses order from germany, so he can paypal the money and i'll make a bank transfer to this friendly persons account? ;) so long, julian
  11. i'll donate some patches as well, but first i need a new PSU (already ordered) for my SID to select wich of the patches it'll be ;) best, julian
  12. hehe, fast as a flash! ;) i also saw that the picture link on the SEQ site is down... (http://www.midibox.org/midibox_seq_photos/) best, julian
  13. ahhhhh! i missunderstood and thought it would be for Displays with two characters, not two Displays using characters ;) best julian
  14. hello, finally I've ordered my SEQ_V2 kit (: but, i can't find any info on the ucapps site, how to connect the two 2x40 LCD's to the core module. The only thing i find is the standart wiring diagram. maybe i'm just to blind to find it ;) so long, julian

    MAX6007B shunt

  16. when i change the pitch range of an oscilator the frequency of the sound changes, too. is it a bug or a feature? ;) best, julian

    encoder gesucht

kennt jemand zufällig eine quelle für rotary encoder in .de? 5 euronen pro encoder bei conrad ist mir echt zu viel! und am liebsten hätt ich auch welche ohne rasterung (also kein click click) gruß julian
  18. hi :) just put 2 tracks online which where created using the MIDIbox SID. "first sid tunes" - my first work with the SID. some kind of chill (100% SID) "Karawane" - A dub Track with additional drums and vocal samples, but all synth sounds are from the sid... http://wald.heim.at/schwarzwald/520967/music_hp_2004/musik.html best, julian
  19. ah, okay, i thought about smth. like that... but it's good to be sure ;) thanks...and best wishes julian ;D
  20. hmmm, just deconnected the ground from the midi out... still the same noise it even appears when just the midi out is connected... sounds more like a high frequency oscilator than some normal noise... very strange...
  21. >- Are the connections from the core to midi rather short? hehe, at the moment a rather long cable >- Did you connect ground from the core to your midi-port (disconnect >this!) ? >- Do you use a shielded cable from Core to Midi-plugs ? nope >- Do you have multiple Cores interconnected ? - no, just one so far >Did you connect the audio out of your SID to the PC audio In ? - If >so: Just try this connection without the shield of your SID Audio Out. >Still noisy ? the midi signals come from my PC the audio outs from the SID are connected with a small Mixer and another computers audio in. so there should be no interferences... I think i'll just try to remove the ground... I'll post if it helps greetings, jul
  22. hi =) my MIDISid is working fine so far, but the midi out isn't working. whenever i plu both midi cables (in and out from my computer) there is a strange noise on the audio out. sounds like some kind of midi data because when i start the "get" function in jsynthlib (start a sysex dump) i hear rapid changings in the noise but the dump isns working :( and this high noise appearing when i plug the midi out to my computer is really loud/annoying, too. best, julian
  23. hi :) in the Wave Table menu of my MIDISid 1.6 with mios 1.7 the info text saying to what the controller numbers belong doesn't appear :( anyone knows why? greetings , jul
