Hi! It is dual.... I don´t exactly know if it is really important wich pins you use.... take the right side of the pins for the first switched voltage, the left for the other to be switched..... check the pins with a beeper (multimeter) to be shure wich pins u can use... hope this helps,.... pwx ???

Hi! Good idea!!!!! ;D When I build my midiboxes, everytime I got the same Problem.... soldering the hardware, I´ve learned with this great projects..... but programming the PIC.... I don´t know where to start learning it..... It would be great to have something with is the "connection" between both sides.... :) pwx

hi! habe selbst noch keine midibox-seq gebaut(nur midibox-sid)...... aber ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, das alle led´s durchgebrannt sind 8) check doch mal die verbindungen zwischen core und dinx/dout... etc.... ??? viel glück, pwx

I think the basic psu will do this job ( I´ve built my first mbsid this way),..... but the optimized psu will be much better ;) ;D

hi all!!! I´ve got a short and simple question about the connection of the ENV Rate encoder...... In the documentation is only ENV Depth available at DINX4.... but on the frontpanel is only ENV Rate..... ??? Am I right if I connect the encoder to ENV Depth at DINX4(J6) ??? please help!!! pwx :-*

hi! Are you shure that the ic´s are the problem? Do you get any sound from sid if you play a note on your keyboard?? Is the 1.000 MHZ soldered in the right way ? pwx

:)Ok! For all with the same problems: I think my problem was the midi-in,... bad soldering!!!! ( Oh no!!) The second problem: I´ve soldered the 1.000 MHZ not in the right position!! ::) And Backlit LCD problems: the display from Mike has + at 16 and - at 15..... Check everything again and again and again.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) pwx :P

:o 8) ;D Hi all!! this night I checked everything, soldered a few little things again, plugged my MIDI-Keyboard, and......... wow!! what a great sound! my new midibox sid talks to me!!!!! ;D ;D 8) Tonight I´m the lucky guy! I love my SID! TK, thanx for this great project!!!! Now, I´ve got to finish CS and built the second core- and sid-module. Still got some little problems (no displaybacklit)..... 2x20, I got it from MIKES-MIDISHOP.... but I´ve decided to give the display seperated 5V,.... hope this will work,... has anyone an idea what my problem is ??? ::) pwx

I´ve found someone here in Germany(many thanks to lemonhorse) who programmed the PIC with mios and the sid-application for me,... now I still have a MIDI-IN Problem but for the moment, I´m glad to see display and buttons are working,.... Only problematic thing: I can´t play a sound mith my external midi-keyboard and the midi-in led is flickering the whole time,. but no midi is sent to midibox... ??? I think to do troubleshooting again! :-\ I´m shure..... it will work... this year Yours, Sebastian! ;D :o 8)

Hallo Lemonhorse!! :) Vielen Dank für dein Angebot, würde ich gerne annehmen,.... denn solangsam muss es bei mir weitergehen... was cs step A betrifft ist das kein Problem,... ich bin gerade auch schon dabei step B und C zu machen. Wenn die Software auf dem PIC ist, komme ich dann denke ich hoffentlich alleine klar ::) Kannst du mir eine mail schicken, damit ich weiss, wie ich dir den PIC zukommen lassen kann,... klar bezahle ich alles, aber das ist ja eh selbstverständlich!!!! Habe schonmal vor einiger Zeit hier geschrieben,... es ging darum, dass ich meine midibox-sid zusammengebaut habe (1core,1sid,cs A) und es mit meinem i-book nicht schaffe, mios und die sid-application zu laden..... Habe nun das ganze troubleshooting nochmal gemacht,.. und alles scheint ok zu sein ??? Jetzt bin ich langsam am verzweifeln und wollte mal fragen, ob wohl jemand sich bereiterklären könnte, mir mir mios und die sid-application(sid 6581) auf meinen PIC-18F...(bootloader ist schon drauf) zu laden? Bitte,... dann könnte ich wenigstens ausschliessen das die Probleme mit meinem midi-interface zusammenhängen. Grüsse, Sebastian :'(

hi all! I´ve done troubleshooting again.... the same, all seems to be ok,... still can´t upload MIOS and application... Is it normal that my core sends the request the same time as I switch it on? Or should there be 2 Seconds until the first request comes from core? I´m getting nervous,... perhaps there is someone here in Germany who can help me and can program mios and the sid-application on my pic, so I can check my system this way?? ??? Yours, sebastian

hallo!! habe meine midibox sid nun fertig.. naja, erstmal ein core und ein sid module mit cs step A. jetzt schaffe ich es einfach nicht, mios auf meinen PIC18F.... zu laden. bootstraploader ist drauf und sendet auch alle 2 sekunden den request... die midi in fehlersuche habe ich durchgeführt, sieht auch alles ganz gut aus. ich benutze einen mac und für das senden SysEx Librarian. jetzt ist mir aufgefallen dass die .syx files blocks mit grösse von 1,2K haben und irgendwo habe ich ja gelesen, das der flashbuffer immer nur bis 1K vertragen kann,.. stimmt das??? bin ganzschön am verzweifeln und würde mich freuen, wenn mir da mal jemand weiterhelfen könnte... :) sebastian

Hi!! got my first Midibox Sid (1core,1sid plus CS Step A) ready... but now I have problems with uploading mios to PIC... Have a mac and use SysEx Librarian for upload... can recieve F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F7 every 2 seconds, first with power on.... so bootstraploader is ok, right? ..... but uploading mios (.syx file) don`t work! :'( Have done Miditroubleshooting an everything is ok... What`s my problem??? ??? Is it possible, that the blocks of the file are not in the right size?? I read on mios site that they can`t be more than 1K... but in the downloaded .syx file they are 1,2K... whats going on?? How can I convert them to 1k??? I need help, thanx!!! :'(
