  1. Just thought I would post as I haven't seen this mentioned yet. I picked up a CCK for the iPad and it works great with the MB Seq. You can plug the MB USB directly into the CCK and it will automatically find all 4 ports of the MB. Works fantastic for the virtual BLM Lemur app and any other app that uses Core Midi.

  2. Thanks TK, I understand that it would be a pretty big change. Ill give the method you described a shot, and there is also always recording to another sequencer and back to the mb.

Has the possibility of routing a track output to another tracks input ever come up? Is that at all possible?

Dave, copying really won't do what I want here. If you make a sequence that is an off number of notes and has some other modifications on it and have it play along something more rigid you will hear parts that really work well together and parts that really don't. The good parts are not always directly repeatable at least in an easy way.  If you record a long section of this you can pull the good parts out and sequence those as phrases. It's a great way to create variations. An easy way to try it is to record a long pass of this into your daw and then record it back to the midibox.

  3. It could work this way:

    - Export the track into a MIDI file.

    - Import back from the MIDI file to another track

    Best Regards, Thorsten.

Gave this a shot last night and couldn't get it to work quite right. I don't see an option for selecting a track to import the file back into. It always imports to G1T1, even if  I have a different track selected when I do the import. Any ideas?

    Thanks,

  4. So I know this may be asking too much but a feature I've been wanting a lot lately is a "flatten" function. Once I get something crazy going with the direction, length, etc parameters I often want to dub that down to another track. Essentially just being able to record one track to another would work fine for this, but having the ability to set a length and hit a button that just does it would be great.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

  5. Hi there,

sorry to ask this, but i am absolutely uncetain about this:

Is it possible to have one of this neat little USB midi Keybords (e.G. Korg microKEY 25) directly connected to the SEQ V4?? via USB or has a PC to be inbetween??

    Thanks

Not possible without a computer or something like this:

As far as I know that is the first of its kind. Id love to have a tiny keyboard to go with my sequencer with no computer for sure.

  6. So I really like how the tap tempo functions on the sequencer, but for me I always get results that are way way faster than I feel they should be. I have used tap tempo on tons of devices over the years, and I have even compared tap tempo apps on my phone vs the sequencer, tapping to the same song I am trying to match. Does anyone else see this issue or is it just my bad tapping? On Maschine for example I always get what I feel is pretty close.

    Thanks,

    Luke

  7. Hi TK, sorry for the delay, I was requesting a new button that you could hold down, as the sequencer plays through if you hold a key or multiple keys on your keyboard controller and that note exists in the sequence it gets erased. That way you could selectively erase notes as the sequencer plays through. I think this would be useful in all live recording modes.

Also would it be possible to have an option added to the clear button so that it only clears out everything event related and does not reset the entire track to default? When recording live and i mess up (I am a terrible keyboard player) it would be nice to just hit a button and quickly be able to make another take. Now it seems that if I clear a track it resets the length and then i have to fix that before I can try to make my recording again.

    Thanks,

    Luke

Ha sorry I see that my request for the clear functionality already exists. Sorry about that. The erase functionality would still be helpful to me, but I can live without it now that i know how to use clear properly.

    Thanks,

    Luke

  8. Currently the live recording mode erases all nodes when you are holding keys - this is important for live recording to play keys for more than 1 step.

I guess you are requesting the different behaviour for live recording in drum mode only, right? Here it could make sense (although I fear that it could confuse some people... but the functionality is useful)

  9. I think this is a great idea Hawkeye!

Something I would like to see:

A real time erase feature similar to an MPC or other traditional sequencer. Basically the ability to hold down a button and then also hold down the keys that you want to erase and they get erase as the sequence plays through.

    Thanks,

    Luke
