hey ya ok so far.. i ve opened th e box and immediately trashed th electronics, diodes were almost there to burn the pcb. (the big elec capacitor says ¨made in germany¨ eh the good old stuff ;) now i have left 2X 9 volts AC outputs from the tranformer for best signal to noise ratio the 5 volts should be processed inside the psu and not in the 6582 am i right? in this case all i have to do is to rebuild the 5 volts rectifier inside the psu and feed the 5DC and 9AC to the 6582 if anybody can confirm this it ll be lovely simone

hi sasa (and all) yes i have bought a Midisport 2X2 to accomplish that.I am a bit concerned with the Hardware atm so i ve left apart the software thing for quite a while, please bear with me and i ll post some more details in the near future. Yes they have dust cover and that is very welcome, i ll be using an analog mixer to mix my timecoded vinyls and do scratchy tricks so these midified faders will be used only to set the volume and mix mp3s from within Ableton. ops it was CONRADs and not RS sorry, here is the PN: 441790
-
hi they are Alps from RS Components, they seem to be the best faders i ve bought lately still they are not DJ/scratching quality.

hi first of all @Admin i am not sure if this is the right place so feel free to replace the topic, in case. We are talking MIDI here and we are talking Assembler but we are not talking MIOS. Alogic has written a new code for a controller based on PIC 16f877a for 64 pots, we think that it can be a good start point (way easier than MIOS) for those ones who want to learn the basic of Assembler coding for MIDI. This is the original thread in the spanish forum: http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=10276.msg77571#new and here s the code: http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=10276.0;attach=1832 Simone and Alogic

hi most of GLCDs have also chars in their ROM, if you plug a GLCD in a MB64 it ll work as a normal CLCD and you can eventually offset and center the chars: a 240X64 will have 4 rows and 48 chars. Still there is really no use for it in a MB64 as long as you don t adapt the code and, if you do it, please let me know when you are finished ;) Simone

hi! i know that a switching psu is not reccomended for audio apps.I can t see any problem using such a psu in a MBLC or MB64.Am I right? thanks simone

Would this crystalfontz lcd work without problems ?
cimo replied to prophonic's topic in MIDIbox SID
you would probably stand up, swear a little bit, walk randomly, scratch your head, go to the internet and buy a new one, we all did that sometime with some part.. ;) taken from: http://www.crystalfontz.com/products/2004a-color/index.html taken from: www.ucapps.de (lcd module) so i d say that yes it should work regards simone -

heyyy my first post on the SID forum, never had anything to say before.. i have a very old c64 psu it s not the totally squared one, this has a "cut out" corner. I checked the voltages and i have 5.4DC and 10AC -Is this ok? -Is it very advised to rebuild the circuitry especially considering that mine has to be of the 80s -Do you guys know any special trick to open the psu? I can t see any screws but it doesn t look glued or hot glued. It seems to me that it will be enought to pull the back panel out. The connector is a DIN (or alike) 7 pins that fit nicely to the one i got from Wilba (txx Wilba!!), counting the pins from left to right and facing the connector (so not counting in the standard way) i have 10AC on pins 1 and 7; and 5DC on pins 4 and 5 Here http://www.c64-wiki.de/index.php/Netzbuchse it s different -??? txx simone

Indie/ Electronic music using Midibox 64 as a LIVE controller.
cimo replied to The III Man's topic in Songs & Sounds
hi i have to admit i ve been lurking in this post for quite a while waiting to see what people had to say about it, but it seems like i am going to be the first one the concept is great, this is what i like lately, trying to bring your instruments into your digital compositions but hold on ! i don t like the final product, i think it sounds too much like thom yorke late solo music and i didn t find it too catchy at all. I hope you guys keep on this line and come back with more stuff, i ll be here waiting ;) simone -
