mm ok ok good to know this was completely unknown to me what other method we have to gather money? possibly something that you guys have tried already, i think we all agree we don t want to support paypal afterall. simone
  2. the dirty solution: midiox or midipipe, they can give you full flexibility over midi mapping while you write new code for your box ;) sorry Res i havent read properly your first post before, now i got it. simone

eBay owns paypal so no surprise they won t bother ebayers anyway, it is clear to me (to anybody else?) that paypal policy or "violacy" can be a source for problems, let s take this into account

    Hot 6582s

hi i ve already considered this method but with a little variant: bear with me now (and with my english) you need a "tightening strip" which in my personal language means that kind of plastic strip (usually black or white) used, for example to tight a bunch of cables together, it has dents and a squared hole where you push in the tip of the strip. Are we there? good. Under the IC sockets there is usually space enough to slip the "tightening strip" underneath and loop it on the top so you can press the heat sink against the IC. uh? simone

ok! now, about the chat, if i am not wrong this is a different beast, java based, is that right? FF on Ubuntu asks for new plugin (java runtime) which i already have, the java runtime enviroment.. .. in other words, is the chat up and running and i can t connect or is it still down?

  12. hej! sorry but my swedish isn t that good as to go into technical details.. anyway.. yes you are right i also use to solder those bridges after all the other components.Use a long piece of wire so you can easily hold it when soldering , then you can cut it afterwards. For the bypass caps i use a little blob of hot glue to keep them in place and then you can easily solder them.Jatte bra kompis! Simone
  13. hi groups will define encoders/pots and not buttons, although there is a way (the hard way!) to change this behaviour, i think that the easiest way is to use meta events to change MIDI channel instead of groups.Midi channel will affect buttons and encoders/pots.Hope this help Simone
  14. thanks TwinX (and all the people involved) it s been busy time uh? Simone

    Controllerism

i think it is as lame as the music
  23. i think that Mr tippach has done quite a good job, well let s say that he s given the possibility to asio-less soundcard owners (most of pc users) to use their pcs for audio purposes, windows and steinberg didn t go so far, because they thought obviously it was not a good business. err am i going off topic? Asio4all is not an out of the box app, it often needs some tweaking, playboss, have you read the manual? how small was your buffer? simone
  24. hi after i got a midimate, i bought a cheaper interface of the same kind from ebay, when i asked the vendor for the driver for XP he pointed me out to... the audiotrack (now esi) website.!! when i opened the little box with the chips all the chips were "sanded" on the top so that you couldn t read the chips names. no need for explanation eh? ;) the chip on the midimate is a TAS1020B usb_device.product_id 4096 (0x1000) usb.vendor_id 2706 (0xa92)
  25. hi asio4all has always fixed any latency problem i had on slower windows machines, if you want to gain some extra ms (and stability) i recommend, especially if you have an older machine (i guess because of the usb1.1) to have an extra "audio only" partition and install to keep clean and away from non-audio software. It s also usefull to have the audio partition as first partition cause it will spin on the external side of the HD and it will be faster. Simone
