Sorry, already gone. These are sold.
-
I also found a small supply of SSM2044 chips if you need any.
-
I have (4) of Seppemans DUAL ssm2044 PCBs for sale. I was cleaning up and came across them and I have no use for them. The are new, bare and never soldered. I don't recall what I paid for them, but I'll take whatever that was or $5 each plus shipping. PM Me please.

For those keeping track, I sold this for $300. I know I probably took a loss. But in the spirit of midibox... I wanted this to make the music the designers intended and hopefully the new owner will do just that. Chuck

To those who PM'd me -- sorry for the delay. I dug it out of storage and checked it out. I have one offer pending, the first guy who contacted me. If he has changed his mind in the last few weeks of my delays then I will post it in the for sale section here. In the mean time, here is a picture. Beige Case, Red Panels, White Lettering, Red LEDs, Red LED Fan and Red LED display. Plus the cool red knobs.

Hi, I have a MB-6582 nearly completed. I last worked on this in 2008 and it has been sitting in storage since. I lost interest. I have 2 extra SID chips and a working power supply. It has all the parts. I'll throw in any other extras I find. If I recall correctly, the only issues I had where mounting the display and knowing how to use it. The display is loose right now. The rest of it is in good shape. But I'd have to say as is. It has a white case, and red panels. I'll have to dig it out and take some pictures, and fire it up. But i have no real way of testing it unless someone wants to walk be through it via email. My questions are: 1. May I sell it? 2. How much may I ask for it? (Or better yet, what should I ask for it. Thanks! Chuck

DIY audio patchbay with digital routing....How hard?
chuck replied to Nomical's topic in Design Concepts
Is this still on anyone's bench? Can I get the existing schematics or boards and try putting some together? Chuck -
S1, I knew they were on EBay, I hadn't ordered because I felt I committed to the boards/chips deal also. I thought putting your name on the bulk purchase list was a two way street. Once I put my name down, I follow through with payment. But thats cool. If I'm not sticking Doug with a bunch of chips I can go the EBay route. Its not like these chips are magical chips right?
-
Seems not for people in the US. I got the boards, no chips. :(
-
Oddly I received the SSM PCBs, but I never received a query for funding on the chips. Is it too late to get the chips? Chuck
-
Got em in Virginia. Thanks
-
Not me, I'm in Virginia. Can you say how they shipped and from what country? Chuck

Is it just me, or does "Goblinz Knobz" have a certain ring to it? Appreciate the effort man. It will be an odd experience having knobs.

MB-6582 -- No Main Menu -- Flashing Matrix and a stuck note on boot
chuck replied to chuck's topic in MIDIbox SID
Wilba, Thanks man!!! I loosened the LCD and slipped some paper between it and the control board and now all those problems are gone. It comes up with the E002|A001 screen just like the manual says. No stuck middle C, No flashing matrix cross. Thanks a ton for pointing out the problem. Chuck -
Ok, I finished my first MB-6582, but I have some issues. I have all the chips installed, but only one PIC installed right now. Ths first issue is when it boots up, it goes to the Modulation M4 screen, not the Main Screen like the user manual says. The second issue is the matrix leds flash a cross in a steady flashing pattern. The third issue is, when it boots up the middle C tone is stuck, but if I send it a middle C it stops playing it. Here is a pic. This picture was taken when the flashing cross was lit, so you can see it and the screen. http://www.voodooengineering.com/mb-6582/20081017.jpg Pressing the Menu button does not take me back to the main screen. All the buttons seem to work, they click and change things. Except the Mod (Sync,Ring) button, which doesn't seem to do anything. But it does have a click. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can check? Should I install the other three pic chips? Thanks in advance. Chuck

I never would have thought you can switch from the wrong side. I'm assuming the left side, when look at the board from the front, is the side that should make contact with the jack?
-
Still not for me... :(
-
Wow that is wicked cool.
-
No boards yet for me. But then I'm in Virginia.

Cool beans! :) -
So you're automatically on the list for the chips, if you purchased the boards right?
-
Thanks man, I will.

If anyone has an open ALBS Waldorf type knob buy open, or has any spares from a pervious buy.... I'm looking for 15 of the red transparent ones. Thanks
