Is there any important differences I should know of, between the base/CS-PCB's sold bulk in July, and the future PCB revisions being sold through SmashTV?

So that type heatsink works well for you? I was originally going for more robust solution, but seems I go for this one, almost same than yours :) 35,6x22x6,7 mm Heatsink (don't change to english or you get wrong specs (of peltier element but with same product code/picture :o)

From http://www.metamute.org/en/Digital-Salvation So, do we still got something like 20+ years worth to play with SID's? How much impact it has if they are in use, operating in relatively high temperatures say, few hours weekly? Should I start vacuum-packing spare SID's to my freezer? ;D

Commodore 64 was very popular here at Finland, in the 80's every kid had to have one 8) Few years ago you could easily find one or two from fleamarket... though availability has been dropping now, a lot of them are put to trash / enthuastics are holding on them.
