  1. it is labeled 4816P LF1-103 C1745 .. this is the wrong one right? edit: it definetly is the wrong part. .which leads me to the next wrong part on the LE MEC RH PCB.. :D thank you so much for you help!!!
  2. hi latigid on thanks a lot for the fast reply. so far tried the following: - build new ribbon cable and checked connections (orientation of the cable and if header is corect) SRIO IN -- SRIO J8/9 -checked orientation and part numbers of all ICs (CORE PCB and JA PCB) -visually checked for unwanted shorts (CORE and JA) -reheated all the pins of the JA PCB -loading differnt applications to see if it makes a diffence.. it doesn't :P when connecting the JA PCB to the Core i instantly get flickering or randomly lit leds. also ubloaded mb ng as described in the video. but when i start the debug protocol i get an endless stream of messages (well sometimes it stops randomly and then move on) this is just an excerpt of the protocol. 3. hi all, made good progress so far buidling the pcbs with the help of peters video. the core seems to work since i succefully uploaded seq v4, also the sd card loader is working. but when connecting the JA PCB i get random flickering on all its leds no matter which app is loaded. is there already a place to ask for help regarding the build? thank you
  4. so we need two pieces of the 652-4816P-1LF-10K then? thank you for clarifying
  5. hi latigid, do we need anything else from mouser or are these all the parts we need including the case stuff? thanks
  6. hi, just did build the core-essential kit. was a great building experience. with the video it is almost like somebody is with you all the time giving you a hand. really great tutorial. hope it was not to hasty to order the mouser list for the UI-Kit that poped up in the shop from time to time :D ..? cant wait to build the rest of the kit. thank you all a few suggestions: - removing the two resistors on the MCU Core407V is also pretty easy when conecting both ends of one resistor with a little solder, so you can just wipe them away with the tip of the soldering iron. - maybe add ribbon cable and pcb connectors to the mouser-bom

    seqv4 songmode

hi, thanks a lot for your answer and the hint. i will give it a read :)
  8. hi all, unfortunately i'am still on seqv3 and don't have seqv4+ yet but the core boards are already here :) i have a question about the songmode of the v4. is it possible to save all 4 pattern groups (16 tracks) at once and assign them to a song position? and is it then possible to make changes in this song position on track level and then save it on the next position to build up a song? besides it would be great if you could call the saved song positions with the 16 step buttons for example. thank you!
  9. I opened pandora's box and ordered the core kit
  10. @Antichambre thanks for the link, looks promising. but seems i need to rely on a more predefined projekt with at least some pcbs to buy, otherwise the simple switchbox is more in my range ..hehe (because of the bold letters. i'm not screaming..just having trouble with formatting )
  11. ohh yes.. that would be the perfect solution. something like 32x midi in to 16x midi out merger (optionally thru) would be great :) thats what i do with my old amt 8 (8in - 8out) when i need additional ports from a hardware sequencer. these are quite cheap these days and the routung capabilities are great albeit you have to do it with the computer. with two of them one could multiply 4 outputs by four.. but I'm using expert sleepers ES-4 for midiseqeuncing from my daw (sendig midi within the bits of audio) to omit usb entirely, since latency caused by usb is inacceptable for me. so an all in one merge/thru with lots of ports would be a dream
  12. i don't use any softsynths..but since my daw outputs 16 single hardware midiports i had the dream of choosing between daw-sequencer or midibox. ( all synced smultaniously)..but enough for this thread. this sequencer is unbeatable with "only" eight outputs and even in the "basic" configuration without competition. must have it anyway
  13. you are right..sorry it's not in the video its in the description of the features of the seqv4 ..sorry for the confusion. "..multiple MIDI Out ports (up to 12) for reduced MIDI latency"
  14. hehe.. too complicated for my limited brain i have to keep it as simple as possible i'm just a user.. i wanted to make music once, now i've been plugging cables for years
  15. thanks for your reply. right.. twelve was said in the video. it's certainly a bit exaggerated with the 16 ports but i'm using expert sleepers at the moment with 16 midi out and thought of a simple switch box that allows me to determine for each synth whether it gets its signals from the computer or the hardware sequencer without moving a cable. guess eight outputs will be enough anyway :P
  16. Luckily, I ended up here again. :D That unit looks fantastic. when i think of the panel wiring on my seqv3 wich was my first diy project about ten years ago :) ... I'm in is it possible to build it with 16x midi-ouput and 8x cv-gate or do we also have to use the expansion port for additional midi outputs if you want more than eight? thank you!!! in reverent expectation
  17. hi all, is it possible to use the quad IIc midi module from smashtv with my old seqv3 based on PIC 18F4620? thanks in advance rbv2
  18. thank you hawkeye! but i still have no clue why the backlight was not working (before shorted).. because all the voltage seems to be correct and the backlight lights up when powered from external battery.. found this on ebay: http://www.ebay.de/itm/DISPLAYTECH-202A-BA-BC-LCD-532-6571-/321314061515?pt=UK_BOI_Industrial_Automation_Control_ET&hash=item4acfcf7ccb does it work as replacement or is there any difference regarding the pins?
  19. i did the lcd test. all pins show the correct voltage but the lcd doesnt change.. so is it broken like latigid on said? after that i uploaded the mios 1.9g and sammich.hex again, application is up and running but .. still black squares :( is it time to buy new lcd? thanks sneakthief regards from leipzig :)
  20. thanks for your reply. unfortunately its the only lcd i have. the lcd is working i guess because it looks like before i uploaded the sid application. black squares in the upper row. is there another way to test the lcd? how do i check the connections between lcd and pic? thanks
  21. thank you Thorsten. i soldered all the joints again on the lcd connector of the cs-pcb and base-pcb, the pic socket and the trimpots.. but with no success, still black boxes.. anything else i can do?
