Damn... I found it !!! The first LCD I used is fried. The second worked... when I started playing around the potis.... damn me, you guys were right !!! I now get E002|H128*Ld Chn.16 1***|<Ens. BankStick Is there any list of error codes available ? Thanks again guys.

I'm sure about the wiring, I used the same lcd as in Hawkeye's tutorial, the same wiring. As for shorts, I guess this is the last thing to check for. I'm not the best in electronic. I'm good at soldering but debugging a board is alot for my knowledge. Any other clue ?

After a while away, I started playing around with my not completed mb-6582. I am having a weird problem with my LCD. When I turn the device on the only thing I see is the backlight working. There is no text written. I am able to upload the test tone and the mb6582 setup file. Both give the exact same result. I tried 2 different LCD (different brand and model) and both react the same way. Anyone has an idea ?

I forgot to talk about my LCD, I double checked the wires and everything should be ok. I have a black-red lcd, the only thing I see is RED, the whole thing is red. Maybe one of you would know the reason why. I hope I didn't burn it somehow. I know I had a couple wires wrong the first try, when I saw it was not working, I rechecked the forum and realized I had made a mistake, I corrected the ordering. Dead LCD should be red or black ? :P

Hi and thanks for your replies, I'm going to do all these tests tomorow night and get back to you. Only sid socket 1 does not return the 1k tone. I can hear the tone on all other 7 sockets. Thanks for your help!

Hi, I was finally able to upload mios and sid setup, thanks to Cerebral Infect for his help. Now I can hear the testtone on core 2-3-4 but not on core 1, anything I should try ?

YEA ! Thanks to Cerebral Infect!!!!!!! (http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=13703.0) I was able to upload SID R31 !!!! For some reason, removing all banksticks, uploading WITHOUT "Wait for upload request" in Smart Mode worked !

I tried 2000ms with and without advanced driver and I still get the same error. What is strange, the 1k testtone was uploaded without problem.

OK I tried using advanced driver to off but this doesn't seem to work, in fact, I can't get the mb6582 request at all when I boot the device. I tried using 700ms, 1000ms, trying 2000ms right now. Hope this works.

Hi, This error only happens at the end. I don't know how many block there is, but they're all ok until 294. My midi interface if brand new, I use cakewalk um-1g by roland. I will try 1000ms and see if it works better. I will check with the sid testtone too. I'll get back to you when test is done. Thanks!

Hi! I'm done soldering all the base pcb. I tried connecting with midi to the computer. I see the request message when I power on the device. I don't get the message each 2 seconds, only on power on. Is this normal ? I tried uploading the mb6582 setup file via mios studio, it only start sending when I press start and power on the device. There is no way to send anything if the device is already running.
