  1. Ok, sorry, i didn't write it correctly, I meant SID 8580 for the MB6582 Base Board. I ask about this issue because in my country i only got C64 bread case ( brown color ) with the SID 6581. I appreciate your remark Best Regards Albpower2seq4sid
  2. Hi, Does anybody sell 8580 SID? I need some 8580 R5, for my MB6582 Base board PCB's, please let me know if somebody has a few chips and the price, and if i could pay via paypal
  3. Could I finish the CS MB_SEQ4 building next week? so I will publish the pictures ( but I didn't get the encoders yet!! I can´t find them here, 16 MM encoders!!)

This is a mixer based on TL084 Quad OP-AMP, Hand made PCB. I needed this to mix SID, FM, 2 Analog Synths and other devices. The output of the mixer was connected to a PC line in input and record sounds track with audacity software

  12. Hi Thorsten, Thank you for your reply, I read about multiple LCD although it could be an adventage, the higher cost is a problem thanks and Best Regards
  13. Hi I found in my country an electronic shop site which shows a LCD serial display with SPI, and I2C interface, It seems interesting for attach this display with a number of device in the I2C line of the core 8, for example, what do you think about this? Best Regards here is the site http://www.electrocomponentes.com/articulos/enero12/winstar.htm
  14. Thank you very much Thorsten I will use PIC 18F4685 for AOUT_NG module, and upload code without AOUT option for the 18F452, it works this way best Regards.
  15. Hi, I built the MBFM synth so I have 2 core built: one with PIC18F4685 that works fine!! and other with a PIC18F452 but I've compiled the firmware with Option 3 (AOUT_NG enabled) wich added to the code size 256 bytes more and when i try to upload this new code i've got this message: "Upload aborted due to error #4: Write failed (verify error or invalid address )". I try to reduce the code trying to disable another option, but for the PIC 18F452 mostly extra features are disabled, so I go back and upload the code without the AOUT_NG Option. Then got succcess. I add the size of MIOS code plus the size amount of FM application and with the option 3 overflows the 32K limit of the PIC (32768 bytes) did anybody have the same problem? it's true i could use the core8 board with the PIC18F4685, but i want to get both working Could anybody help me?
  16. Ok, I download dsPIC33 datasheet and it look's interesting to search, besides that I saw the site of Dave Smith Instrument and some of the devices there, but I will try to read more about pulses digitally generated and the possibility of use an CEM3396 As a complete Synth solution, CEM 3394 seems pretty good, but nobody sells it at ebay, I would try then CD4046 and CEM3396 with an exponential converter like that present at MS-02 interface from KORG, the schematic shows a linear to exp amp, and a log amp, to convert expo to linear, may be it could work? I found it at this link: http://www.korganalogue.net/korgms/mssermans.html
  17. A synth with two chips... CD4046 and CEM3396, thanks!!!

I've got the X-4046-VCO schematic!!! and it's wave shaper circuit!!!

If you want more CMOS fun Google Wasp filter, a VCF made with a 4069UBE IC. Jurgen Haible and Fonik have schems and things on the web. Save some money :)

  18. Ok, I saw cem3396 datasheet and it also looks good for almost a complete synthesizer, It features 4 VCA, 1 four pole VCF, it is really interesting, so I look other way to add a VCO, like the CEM3340, or a dual VCO, CEM3374; but they are very expensive at ebay. In this case ( Using VCO's ) I would have to control them via the AOUT_NG Module ( and therefore via MIDI with MBSEQ ), although such module presents half tracking in their bipolar configuration, ( 1/2 Volt / Oct ). Perhaps using a very cheaper CD4046, a PLL with an internal VCO to generate pulse signals to drive the CEM3396 could be enough, I think the CD4046 was used inside the PolyMoog, wasn't it? but in order to drive a MO83 and MM5823, Octave dividers
  19. Hello! This es what I found in the PIC16F1507 Datasheet • Numerically Controlled Oscillator (NCO): - 20-bit Accumulator - 16-bit Increment - Linear frequency control - High-speed clock input - Selectable Output modes - Fixed Duty Cycle (FDC) mode - Pulse Frequency (PF) mode • Complementary Waveform Generator (CWG): - 6 selectable signal sources - Selectable falling and rising edge dead-band control - Polarity control - 2 auto-shutdown sources - Multiple input sources: PWM, CLC, NCO Does anybody see the possibility of any interesting module to be build with this PIC? may be an VCO controlled via MIDI or something else?
  20. Hi Wilba I'm very interested thanks for your idea alberto
