@Antichambre This an old project, but I'm still not finished the control surface. Enclosure has taken from old soviet "MICRO" calculator Elektronika MK-44 but it has no main PCB, so I'm still searching for another one to take keyboard from it for more authentic look
Rio asked me for the project files, so I've uploaded everything to public.
Yes, design is based on Olivier's original Shruthi-1 CEM filter board, other parts is quite standard except OLED - CORE8 PCB with MidiboxSID v2.042, Stereo SID6581 PCB and AOUT_NG. PSU is taken from old DVD player - +5/+12/-12 volts, CEM VCF powered with +12/-12V.The only one noisy part is OLED's boost converter, I was thinking of powering it directly from +12V rail, should fix the problem.

What connections do you mean?
It's only connected with previous module in SR chain (Wilba's CS in my case) via standard 10-pin cable.
-
Using forum attachment was bad idea. Now link should be ok.
-
This is for LPC17 core, TPD connected to Wilba's CS out. 4.079 firmware + hardware config.Case template for both transparent and opaque material./edit TK: note that this .zip file doesn't contain the final V4.079 project.hex and MBSEQ_HW.V4 files! The latest release can be found under http://www.ucapps.de/mios32_download.htmlThe adapted setup file in the midibox_seq_v4 release package under hwcfg/wilba_tpd/MBSEQ_HW.V4

6581`s with VCF/VCA sounds fantastic!!

Yeah man! That's real perfoboard hardcore!

why you have the base, but not the control surface PCB
That was a sale. I was buying OPL chipset from Wilba and he offered me base pcb for $10 =) At the time I did not plan to build another MBFM but now there`s no free space left at my deck so i`ve replaced large MBFM with Sammich.
kHz-tone, knob or switch caps?
The knob is from old soviet lab equipment and the caps are from Rosch, standard sammich ones i think.
-
No, it`s for home-etching. With 2 layers it will be more compact =)
-
You've prompted me to do it =)

I can`t find good vero analog here, which enamel will melt with solder tip temp. I`m using Russian ПÐТВ-2 enamel wire, which is very strons, so tinning is real pain.
Solid wire is for ground and leads... Why i have to cut them if i can use it =)
-
There is no schematic for sammichSID so i have to redraw it from PCB file which is also have incomplete info. I was able to do it only with help of of fnpSID PCB and photos of its backside.

it's V-USB/Atmega8 based midi-controller with one encoder and up to 48 knobs/buttons and optional LCD.

Will it work with single polarity supply?
-
Thanks! I tried to make a few more simple circuits but was not satisfied with the result. This is what i need! =)
-
Beware of soviet diodes! :nuke:
-
Very nice!
Which design of germanium distortion did you use? Can you share schematic?
-
rosch, it`s acrylic laser cut, inspired by Shruthi`s case.
-
No, TK`s MBFM.
Waiting for Wilba`s package to make it 4-channel.
-
Cool! Black/Orange combination is good.
And it looks very professional!
-
Eagle files if someone wants to modify it.
-
Confirm that DIN module is working, DOUT seems to work too.
-
i have forgot that not everyone has the Illustrator

Hi, Peter! Saw your 2 hour MIDIbox SEQ building tutorial at Youtube, great work!!
