hello i am starting to build a mb 6582, so i want to resell my sammichSID. She is builded and fully functionnal. I kept the sids for my MB, so it's without sids. It's in a translucent case. The case as some crackle, nothing very bad. Definitely post image to the one interested. She is for 8580/6582 sids builded( read the build guide if you want stuff it with 6581, don't remind if it's just a jumper change or if you have to resolder some things for that) Wanna sell it approximately the price i paid for the kit, ie 195 euros postage included. if interested just tell me!!!

hum more and more i am thinking more and more i don't know what to do... Is this possible to build a mb 6582 control surface and connect it to the sammichSID instead of the minimal controller of the sammich??? I am a bit afraid by the total cost of a 6582.... ( i have to cut my music money "loss"....and if it is possible, i will certainly do my own panel....) I also see the "twin sid" project which is for me a mb 6582 on a core and two sid, lacking the mod matrix.... Seem pretty cool too to me ... I think i would love it.... what's your thought??? Apart from that i have read the build guide of the 6582, but pass on that: It's 16 pin or 10 pins ribbon cable you'll need for it?? thanks for your answer.... I am a midibox and electronic newbee, i have recently build sammichFM and sid... Resale today the fm builded for price of the kit at a german guy ( substractive synthese is enough for me... ), but definitely love the sound of the sid... But the sammich frustrate me by his control surface.. Sort of love/hate relationship... It's not that i need more sid, but i need more knobs...... My favorite engines for instances are lead and bass ( i have an elektron md, from which i sequence the sammich , and it will do the drum well)..., and more easy patching is important for me ( It's sure tommorow i will do a template for the lead engine for my novation , as it assume cc for many things, but i love the bassline mode the most , and no cc for this one,.... Seem to be hell to program a template for it. ( ok i know you wait i am ready to past time to learn, but my time is limited,(as your own i know) and don't want to learn how to nrpn and such obscure things (for me) in hex works.... sorry i promise it is not an injury... ) I really don't want to rely on a computer, and nowadays the editor don't run on my osx lion....) So know i am more thinking to "expand" my sammich... Is this possible with an mb 6582 CS??? ( of course i am not a programmer and i am not able to code...) thanks for your answers....

ok now it's the time. i will build a 6582. will order pcb this weekend, but need some advice before. i don't have any psu... what's the best thing to do??? option a, and buying c 64 psu on the bay ( ANY c 64 psu???) ( only use of 8580 and 6582) i don't know what will be the more rentable take: take the base pcb kit, or order it to reichelt (is there rare parts, all on reichelt or wil i have to multiply suppliers???) :frantics: what the other things appart from pcb and kit i would better take from smash???? thanks!!!

4685 are the ones for themb 6582??? 2 are ok for four sids??? if yes i 'll take them!!!

hi at all! i have already search but don't found the answer! i have put my name some time ago on the seq v4 wilba pcb and kits bulk order list, on the wiki, i am at the end of the second list. What's the aproximate time you have to wait to have one? is this list always active??? thanks at all i need an aproximate advice, i can't wait a year or two for a hard seq i need one relatively quickly, will take a cheap mpc if it's too long for the waiting... thanks at all

hi recently buy for 25 e on the bay this thing: http://www.pocketables.net/2008/06/quick-look-tekk.html and it's a huge addition to any seq driven gear! i use it actually for sammich bassline on the couch, and for an eventide us fo i don't have psu for instance. It can power my machinedrum too for hours! realyy a good thing i think!

just a last question: if i build a 6582 with just 4 or two sid, total price will be reduced ??? thanks

(i am a synth beginner) so it's the third day i am playing with my sammichSID during some hours and my md.. I am RTFM intensively, with the sammich power on, making experiences....this thing is seriously deep....And fun..... certainly one of the better buy i always do!!! why i have not directly build a 6582??? everway, as i need a keyboard, i'll buy a novation which handle sysex and nrpn... i am at the "bassline" chapter, and my prime time night was dedicated to it: great great fun!!!!! i can't belive all the things that are in this little box the sound is one thing- all the matrix mod seqs are realy another who push next the level oh god!... In a first time, i have decided to not use the trigger, wavetable and modulation matrix, of the lead engine in order to quickly learn the basics... So i have read the chapter lead, multi, bassline. and wanna stop here for the moment (in fact i certainly stop ON the bassline chapter lol! acid is fun to do with this seq ( note i never have a xox or tb seq....)!) And i have many question, and i think i will come here often in the next weeks! What is exactly the "infamous adsr bug??? is the fact that envellope doesnt restart if it overlap between two note??? i thinks it's that, as when i sequence too longs notes on the md, certain seem"broken" when using bassline seq, if i sequence a c, it will run the first pattern ok. So on a 16 step pattern on the md, i put a c on the first step, and a 4/4beat. But if i say to the md roll on now on the 2 first step by changing the pattern lenght, the bassline seq continue is run even if the c is retrigerred which could be a cool thing, but can too do some desync if in fact i don't tell the md to re-go to 16 step perfectly in sync. So is there a way to force the sid seq to began at the beginnig of the pattern each time the c is trigerred??? thanks for doing such wonderful box to all your communitie! definitely love this thing!!! (the only problem is that i do a fm too, and due the many things to read, and not only read, understand, this last one will certainly be unused for a big time..... but it do pretty goods sounds tto, "dreaming sound" lol) many many thanks at all for all this joy!

ok as i read wilba on another post saying"9 on 10 time problem are due to soldering" i've decided to rework all smt soldering and.....all is fine no! the sammich produce noize when i switch patch between two patch but i thinks it's a normal behaviour??? thanks at all bye!

hello at all.. I have finally just replace it....but unfortunately, result is the same... Control surface work good, but all that i can hear is just noise and crackles on the audio out , as soon as i plug it...So i don't know where to begin the troubleshooting...Some advice???? thanks! i will now search the forum.... by at all...

thanks! i'm dumb sometime, realy think i have tried and it was broken..... thanks! by the way, i am more and more surprised by the sound of the sid: i formerly do it for the building fun, not realy knowing what the sid sound is... I was definately thinking that it will only be capable of lo fi retro sound.. But it sound in fact very actual! powerful!!! i definitely prefer it to my shruthis now! plus it provide polyphony!! it just seem to be a littel more complex to programm, and i alredy began to dream about a 6582....I have to wait 6 months: in 6 month, if my first impression are always valid, i definitely will build one! so wonderful synth!!!!

hello at all! i begin to seriously learn my sammich by following the manual..but it is a strange thing: for certain parameter, not for all, as for filter cuttoff or pw from osc section, values doesn't appear to be normal: there are number and letter, as an hex message... on other parameter all seem to be fine...strange and very disturbing....except that all seem to be fine.... already hear this story??? thanks!

hi... too impatient to wait an answer, i've desolder and resolder it.... all voltage test were fine.... so i install the ic, upload the sotwre, format the bankstick..........all seemed to be fine.... until i plug my monitor... as soon as i run the sammich i hear an horrible noise, without pareesing any key, nor sending midi message... If it was the capacitor, nothing run isn't it???? because all the ui and control, seemed to be fine... Except this noise, and and can't make any other sound.....

hello at all;.... i think i have just done a fatal error.... just finish my sammichFM kit... so i was at the step of the voltage test.... i plug the base pcb.... after some second i hear an anormal noise... i immediatly stop the current.... and searching a hot component... i qquickly found it: it's the big blue 2200 electrolitic i have inversed the polarity... oh no... why i have done that... worth it the pain of desolder/resolder it to see if it is always ok???? may have i damage other component by this big mistake????/... i know check twice solder once.... but too self confident this time... thanks at all.... my psu was a 9v... thanks for your advice...

all is fine now! software uploaded, all is fully functionnal tonight!!!! i speedly listen to the factory patch, it offer far more possibilities that i imagined!!! see you to the next episode, i have afm and a gm 555 to build too! by and thanks at all!!!
