matyt Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 These days I started building my own midibox.I've designed it to control traktor, so I have a 4 channel mixer, with 4 ways EQ, Crossfader Assign, prelisten buttons and of course volume faders, and two decks controller, with a switch to change between decks A & C, and B & D, solution which need some coding skills i don't have:-\ :-\I have 64 Digital entries, so 2 DIN modules, and 32 pots, 1 AINHere is the layout of the holes and the frontplate print.....http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/3256/colorataultimafv9.pngJust one question...As power supply i've found the PSU of an electronic frame, it provides 12 Volts and 1500mA, so it should be enough for what i want....unfortunately it is a switching one.... can i use it?
nILS Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 For digital (read: non-audio) circuits switching PSUs are not a problem.
stryd_one Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 a switch to change between decks A & C, and B & D, solution which need some coding skills i don't haveLook to those who have gone before you, and ask nicely if you can use their code ;)
Ajax Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 lol, i started designing this last night.ran into some design flaws with control over 4 decks simutaneously.but just had the bright idea of 3 decks.that would allow me to add some buttons for beat juggling.-Ajaxedit: sorry about partially hijacking your thread :D.-Ajax
matyt Posted November 16, 2008 Author Report Posted November 16, 2008 why only 3 decks? I use a 2 decks control surface, and switch the two units to control A-C, B-D.with traktor 3.X it requires some programming, with the new version you just have to develop your mapping....
