Futureman Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karateka_%28video_game%29me thinks so..The Apple II version came on one apparently single-sided disk. As an easter egg, a second version of the game was placed on the flip side of the disk. If one put the disk into the drive upside-down, the game played identically to the first side, except that the game was displayed vertically flipped. According to Mechner, this was done as a joke, causing naive users to call tech support and ask why the game was upside-down. Invariably, they would receive the reply, "take the disk out, insert it right-side up, and reboot".LOL!
3rdordertrauma Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 SID's arrived today... on my sons first birthday! Hrrmmm... its like symbolic or something. Just hope these SID's will grow into something amazing over the next year as well. Thanks a million Wilba!!!
drboom Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 my sister confirmed mine arrived ok. looking foward to getting home and out of this god forsaken hell hole. 2 weeks to go... sigh.
286 Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Too bad I missed this one. Still missing the SID needed to get started with my box. I'd love to have one that I know is working since that would give me one less thing to worry about. I put my name up on the reserve list for two but I'm guessing there are no spares left?Any chance that there will be a MEGA-SALE #7 in the future? ;)
bleepsnbreaks Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 Yep, Im gutted I missed this sale too but Im just gonna start building mine and source recovered chips for now until Wilba does another sale, which he has said he would if he gets enough interest so anyone who is after sids make sure you add your name to the list on the Wiki !
dreamer Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 is the mega sale #6 ended :( too bad i just added myself to the wiki yesterday. Hope there will be a new one.
Snyderman Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 Just added my name to the list. This is just the kind of project I've always wanted to do.
Walle Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 Who could guess that you need so many sid:s? I´m on the list now, too. ;D
bleepsnbreaks Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 I figured if I have the chance to get my hands on a bunch of new SIDs that I might as well get as many as I will ever need as there is a finite supply of them. I want to make sure I have enough spares to replace any that fail for the rest of my life basicly :) Also, after I finish my MB-6582 project I want to make sure I have enough incase I want to try my own designs aswell.
