m00dawg Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 On the main wiki page for the MB-6582 (http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=wilba_mb_6582&s[]=mb&s[]=6582) it says I need to solder some wires in order for the passive headphone output to work. But in looking at the schematics and the board, I see tracks running after each resistor to the next resistor and to the headphone jack header. So I'm a bit confused :) Do I need to solder wires then and if so, where exactly?
m00dawg Posted October 18, 2009 Author Report Posted October 18, 2009 Nevermind - I just noticed that the tracks are there for the SmashTV version of the MB-6852 mainboard (which I have) but not on the original V1 prototype board.
pingosimon Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 So did you have to solder anything, or is J7 0 ready to go? I was just reading up on this very topic.
Smithy Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 Hehe, nevermind should be banned on here! There will always be people wondering the same thing, that will mind to see the solution!
pingosimon Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 Nevermind, I got it  A quick test showed me that, yes, J70 is all wired up and outputs sound without any extra soldering.
Wilba Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 I often wonder whether it's worth making different revisions of PCBs (and fixing past stuff-ups) or just be consistent.
