MB-6582: MOD 1 button has mind of it's own!

I have a completed MB-6582, and this is (I hope) the last problem.

When I power it on, the Modulation menu is open, and MOD1 is selected, as if I pressed that switch for column 1. The entire first column of LEDs blinks about twice a second. The switch does not work at all. After I power it up I am unable to select MOD1. Every other button works fine.

I continuity tested that switch, and it seems to be fine. It behaves just like the other switches.

EDIT: And then, just for kicks, I applied 5v to the switch in question. When I did it correctly, it just selected MOD1. When I did it backwards, a little spark flew out, and the problem was fixed.

(This is the same MB-6582 that had the broken LED row, which was fixed in a similar manner )
