florian Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 hello at all! i begin to seriously learn my sammich by following the manual..but it is a strange thing: for certain parameter, not for all, as for filter cuttoff or pw from osc section, values doesn't appear to be normal: there are number and letter, as an hex message... on other parameter all seem to be fine...strange and very disturbing....except that all seem to be fine.... already hear this story??? thanks! Hawkeye Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 (edited) Hi, in fact, they are hex values... for example the filter cutoff value goes from 000 to FFF which is equivalent to a decimal value range of 0 to 4095 - so with three characters a value which would need four characters in decimal can be displayed there are some amongst us, that were born with sixteen fingers - they even enjoy this notation :) Greets, Peter Edited December 11, 2011 by Hawkeye Quote

You understand what 984 means, and that it's bigger than 934 cause you know that an "8" is bigger than a "3". The same principle applies to hex. Just that it's not just 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 but 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,a,b,c,d,e,f :-) Quote
