nILS Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 I got bored there for a second, waiting for the last payments on the gm5x5x5 bulk order, soooo... Not much to say about it really. It's an stm32-core running Conway's "Game of Life" on a NHD-2.7-12864UCY3. :frantics:
Hawkeye Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 Very nice! Did you have any trouble initializing this Newhaven OLED? Just asking out of curisity :) Many greets, Peter
nILS Posted November 20, 2012 Author Report Posted November 20, 2012 Nope. I prefer not to have trouble with software. Makes things a lot easier. The init commands are straight from the datasheet (except for the bias and grayscale settings, which I tuned a bit. Then again, since I am drawing 1bpp (instead of the 4 the display can do) it doesn't affect it in this little gimmick).
Hawkeye Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 (edited) Very good - we had lotsa problems with its predecessor, the 256x64px OLED.. they seem to have learned and published the right information in the datasheet! Anyways: Great work, hoping for some driver code in the repository! :-) Bye, Peter Edited November 20, 2012 by Hawkeye
nILS Posted November 20, 2012 Author Report Posted November 20, 2012 The display really isn't new at all. Had it for almost a year ;) TK has had the driver for a while too, iirc he wanted to put it in the repository at some point, it's prolly too messy and scares him. :twitch: Then again, the SSD1322 and 1325 are pretty similar anyways...
TK. Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 Did you integrate your SID player as well? ;) Best Regards, Thorsten.
nILS Posted November 20, 2012 Author Report Posted November 20, 2012 Hehe, nah, it's a development tune I use in this tracker I am working on  http://schickt.de/temp/nnjTRQR_-_Princess.mp3
