Hawkeye
Hi there, here is more of a techdemo than a full song :-) of what is possible with the MBLoopa V2 - it will be hopefully available at some time in spring 2018. Thankfully, Andy is creating PCBs and the finished unit will therefore not look as crappy as in this video :-). Features: 6 polynote channels with stepbased or unquantized note data, eight "scenes" (here used for transposing) and note editing, visual/graphical clip/note display and measure-synchronized muting/unmuting of tracks and scene switching, and a nice 256x64px OLED :-). A (very) little brother to the full MBSEQ (but with the ability to record unquantized notes and dynamically post-quantize them). Of course, it is all based on the fantastic MIDIbox hardware platform! :-) Thanks for watching and listening! Many greets, Peter

Pre-order ? ;) ...Keep me in touch! Best Bruno
Hawkeye
Thanks, Bruno! We will keep you posted, when there are updates, Andy's main priority is the new MBSEQ at the moment, but we are confident, that we should have the first boards available for public consumption by spring 2018 or so! :-) I will surely not give up on this project, as it is just too much fun to play around with already :-). Have a great day! Many greets, Peter
latigid on
Heyhey! Cool track! What's going on, scene shifting or a bit of live recording? Still, a cool jamming/ideas/song creation box! I can't remember; can the whole clip be transposed? Hawkeye
Thanks, Andy! :-) Yes, only scene switching and muting/unmuting is going on, both are synchronized to the measure, so you can a initiate a scene-switch or mute/unmute a bit ahead of time. Transposition (and a few other features like time stretching, which is the equivalent to the big SEQs clock divisor setting) is possible per clip, so for transposition, i just copied some clips from scene A to the same track in scene B and set a transpose value of +7 halftones there (ahead of the live session), then you can "transpose" a running scene of multiple clips by just switching the scene. I did not feel good enough that day for real loop-jamming, but that would have been possible, too. If "armed", the looper will continue to add notes to the active clip, with the new hardware version, that you are working on, arming/unarming could be controlled via footswitch, so you have both hands on the keyboard available for jamming :-). Have a great day and thanks for your work on the PCBs! Peter
