Hi,

I started my SID a long time ago and haven't finished it yet. Most of the stuff is done, I'm now moving to programing part.

I wanted to know if it's possible to add a volume knob, either by using one of the encoder and assigning to CC7 (i guess) or by using a pot.

I'd rather have that last option since I need not to use one of the encoder for that purpose.

Is it doable to add a simple pot ? How to ?

Hi,

the volume register of the SID has only a resolution of 4bit, it doesn't really make sense to control it with a pot. It's better to control it on the analog way

Best Regards, Thorsten.

Why don't you just wire pots up to the audio outputs?? Seems like that would make a lot more sense.

If you want to automate stuff you can assign the envelope to an LFO.

I'm no electronics expert, but am I right in guessing that a 10K or 100K logarythmic pot fading between the audio out and ground would be sufficient?
