DrBunsen Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Hmmm, a 4 x 16 would cost $148 if you use their PCBs :( Less if you made your own. I guess an 8 x 32 is out of the question then :(:( Quote

Jidis Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 I am however quite interested in the idea of creating something similar and have been investigating the silicone moulding process - see "fabrication de boutons" in the french board... babelfish is helpfulDamn, they've got Moxi and Pilo and everybody in that place. :oMakes you feel left out. ;)jOi- From what I remember, Moxi wasn't happy with the material on his flexible attempts. Mine went the same way with some very brief tests with liquid latex. I liked the latex over fiberglass and other substrates, but not on it's own. Many of the remotes here are now using a hazy white/clear rubber button sheet with a surface mount LED or something behind it. It looks good (I'm sure you've already seen a bunch). It looks about like Moxi's hard buttons with the lights. The material feels about the same as a glob of dried silicone. I'm wondering if you mixed some white and clear (or even just the clear) with the proper solvent, if you could cut it down to something which could be poured??- I'm sure there's a liquid form of the same stuff here, but the regular "tube" style is all over everywhere.Take Care,George Quote
