Hello.

I have problem with my midibox64, i have programmed PIC (bootloader + mios 1.9 + main.hex from midibox64 2.4 via mios studio), mios studio monitor shows echo when i power on (F0 00 00 7E 40 00 01 F7), then on LCDisplay i have this message:

Formatting Bank 1 (blinking)

Loading Setup from BankStkick (blinking)

MIOS v1.9...

Formatting Bank 1 (blinking)

Loading Setup from BankStkick (blinking)

and then it stops on "Loading Setup from BankStkick"

Where is the problem, is there my fault or is this some popular problem?

Hi,

and then it stops on "Loading Setup from BankStkick"

Do you mean by "stop" that nothing else is happening anymore?

So, what is the behaviour without a connected bankstick?

If everthing is ok without a bankstick, please verify your bankstick and the connections from the core to the bankstick.

What type of EEPROM did you use for the bankstick ?

Check especially that the two 1k pull-ups are connected for the data and clock line (see core schematic)

Yes, by "stop" i mean that nothing else is happening. I see only "Loading Setup from BankStkick" message.

It's the same situation with and without bankstick, it doesn't matter.

I have 24lc128 EEPROM.

Please tell me what exactly should i upload into empty PIC if i want to have 128 buttons and 64 pots, please give me  some links.

IS this ok? bootloader + mios 1.9d + main.hex from midibox64 2.4 via mios studio

OK so without the bankstick what happens exactly? Tell us everything so we can figure it out best :)

I wonder if it says "Loading Setup from BankStick" when there is no bankstick

Just for the case you have missed the info: check the 1k pull-up resistors

They are required, regardless if a BankStick is connected or not.

Without these pull-ups (or with a bad connection) MIOS cannot determine if a BankStick is connected or not, it will get random data.

Best Regards, Thorsten.

So this is my new PCB, is this looks ok?

On both PCBs i have the same message on LCD.

Can you give me some step by step instruction how should i program PIC, with every radio button and value for selected sotware for MIDIBOX64.

Im not shure did i programmed PIC propertly. We want to have 2 cores for 128 buttons and 64 pots, or is there some other way to have 128/64.

I think you have forgotten to solder the wires at the bottom. Look at the bottom of the core page and youll see what I mean.
