We all got lucky...

Someone paid US$189.51 for an ugly box that sounds better than a SidStation.

Flavio the profiteer probably made a loss... he probably covered his parts cost but for the time spent soldering and

assembling that abomination he probably earned less than minimum wage.

Maybe he's learned that you can't put junk on eBay for 3 days and expect a bidding war.

I am sorry to say this but that's more dissapointing then what's blue is doing.

You use the code of someone else and not share it.

I agree that what blue is doing is utterly lame. But that should not stop people from sharing.

You should be encouraged by the diy folk that respect your work and ignore those lame "i wanna make a dime" copycats.

If Thorsten thought of the same way you did, where would you stand now with your MIOS based stuff you have kept for yourself???

As to your second statement I don't see what you are getting at !

I have been kicking around (though I admit not a lot of posting) since

2003. Previously with the nick cem3340. I have had contact with TK

at times since his first midibox (16F84 based) way long ago. I have

quietly been developing various MIOS devices over that period all of

which now work happily in my studio. I am currently developing an

8 channel Drum synth (fully programmable, with program storage)

and a true analog synth voice card which will again be fully programmable,

have program storage etc. This when mated with MIOS will be expandable

so as to allow 6 note poly. (Using a similar method as the SID synth..ie.

1 core per voice)

I have been tempted many times to post up all the details, code, schematics

etc over the years. At this point I simply wont do it for the fact of people

like bluelantern and those who condone his/her activities.

So no more from me on this ebay stuff. Sorry to hijack the thread with my

waffle.

I think you have missed the concept. 

You use MIOS to fill your studio, Flavio uses it to fill his pocket.  Both of you taking from the community without giving back. (except for this whinerfest)

Save the free speech/democracy bullshit for civics class.  God isnt dead.  He's probably just avoiding you. 

You owe Stryd an apology (and quite possibly anyone else who read your "waffle")
