Midibox CV Gates on the Core problem

So my CV is pretty much tested and functional except for the gates on the core.  I am using a Smash R3 core with a 452 and i do have the R5 port enabled ("1" in the asm) but I cannot get the 6 additional gates to go high.  I am assuming that I am supposed to use pins A0-A5? Any thoughts?

1. No, you're supposed to use A2-A7. A0 & A1 mirror the 2 gates on the AOUT board.

2. Did you have the right midi channels selected in the menu?

3. Did you accidentally fry those pins on the PIC? That happened to someone else recently. If you weren't careful and connected the 5v Vd pin to the Ax's then you could have fried them when sending a signal.

Try using a different pic.

smash helped me work it out. Apparently, reusing a pic that had another application on it that had those pins disabled was the culprit . I had to wipe the pic and just reload everything from scratch and it works fine now.
