  3. MB-6582 Melting Bridge Rectifier

    So sorry to dig up this old thread but i just burned out 2 rectifier's

    The funny thing is before the fisrt one "popped" i have played on the mb whole day.

    So as i had no rectifiers on stock i ordered a bunch.

    Even the third one i put in get's extremly hot. I have posistioned it ok.

    Is there anything else i can check waht can cause this?

    Pffffff....I'm recovering from Mysteryland, that was quite a hefty party....

    I forgot to buy tickets :(

    Anyway:

    Mysterious:

    Pro's ---- Good overall compilation

    ----------- Punchy

    ----------- Very danceable

    ----------- NIce drum rolls

    Con's ---- For some reason i miss voices

    ----------- A bit too much mastering? I have the feeling you overdone the compression on the tune where the melody bassline fades a bit in the background.

    The Dream:

    Pro's ---- Nice clean sound

    ----------- Good beat

    Con's ---- Tend's to go to Belgium Jump (bonsai records)

    ----------- Intro is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long.

    Reborn:

    Pro's ---- Reminds me of those cracking group intro's on amiga ;)

    ----------- Nice basslines and lead!

    Con's ---- Where's the break and following buildup?

    Overall i listen more technically to it then for my own pleasure mainly because it is not my genre. However i hope you can do something with my feedback.

    Don't alter your music just use the comments in your new productions :D

    Just give me the dimensions of your cutout.

    However keep in mind that i need to know the cutout thickness.

    So i can buy diffrent material in the future to service everyone.

    Ok i have to orders that are paid and i have send them a personal message.

    I broke my machine :( and i have to order a a spare part to fix it.

    (pics will come later)

    This wil take approx 2 weeks. And i really hope not longer.

    So if you are not in a hurry i can still invoice you or you can pay me and i will put you on the list.

    If you are in a hurry for windows the mb-6582 are still on stock and for the mb-seq please ask Narwhal.

    Some payments are still open. I will only send when payment is done.

    And for people's info that claim it's expensive 4 panels to 1 adres costs me 5,7 euro + 1 euro packaging. Also for some odd reason paypal charges me 5% fee instead of 3%.

    No more discounts on shipping from today ;) sorry.

    Yay i finally made the first set:

    I am offering black acrylic sandwich panels for the GM5x5x5 by nILS.

    I am asking €10,- per set (the black ones or the clear type like my windows) and this includes shipping world wide. Beware that is is not in dollars. Sorry ;)

    (a set exists of 1 top panel and 1 bottom panel)

    It is possible to make them in a diffent color but then i am gonna charge you €15,- per set and you wil have to wait 2 weeks.

    If you want a set or more send me a pm with your paypal adres so i can invoice you.

    The best i could do with engraving do not expect it to be laser cut shiny. You could always DIY it by filling it with paint and wet sand the edges of the panels a bit for a better finish.

    On your website you have this info  "The Beast UK Ltd. is a United Kingdom Limited Company - Company Number 6615606"

    Does it mean that people who are not from Europe do not have to pay VAT for the panels you make?

    For the mb6582 in a pactec enclosure i wouldnt recommend anyone cut blinds in the rear, because youre only dealing with 1.5mm.

    Wilba is not reffering to the mb6582. It was just in general ;)

    Hello,

    After wasting a huge amount of material i managed to create eight windows and 1 for my own. I have more material so i can make more. (or you could pm Narwhal and ask him to make you one)

    Any way i am asking $5 for 1 MB-6582 window and this includes shipping world wide. For a set of MB-SEQ windows i ask $10

    Send me a pm and i will send you my paypal adres.

    The trick with my windows is (because i do not have a vacuum table to keep the acrylic pressed down) is to put you panel up side down on a flat surface.

    Apply glue on the edges of the window and put it into your frontpanel.

    Now it's flat :)

    I screwed up mine becuase i was messing arround with superglue. I did not let it rest and it fell out and it got messy afterwards ;)

    So don't try this at home. I have left the protection sheet on the acryl.
