At my college the tests are beginning now. I´ll have to write 5 tests the next 3 weeks. No time anyhow for building any MB stuff. *sigh*  :'( Dammit! And that with a nearly finished MB64 and a half way done 4xSID. I wish those dammit three weeks are over fast. *Just wanted to let you know*.  ;D :-/ :( /edit: I dont know the word for "Fachhochschule" in English, so I just wrote college (university or whatever).

It should come up. No idea why it should not. :-/

Yes, certainly this can be done. Just a little MIOS programming. But you really dont need to built up a matrix for 2 pots... You can also use some more buttons to assign different functions to the two pots. Like the layer function used with the LC clone. Otherwise you would always have to change the changed parameters in the lc_io table. But I have to say, I´ve got no idea where to get these nice things. :(

Verklagen?

From now on, I suggest we introduce some "SID Synthi of the week" Topic as well!! ;D Mine will be finished August or September. It will have about the same controlling layout (I just copied it... ;) ), but a completely different case and design.

Why more info? There is enough here at the forum, you can build that LC right away. btw: 16 Enc = 32 DINs + 32 Buttons = 64 DINs. Yes, this is indeed possible, just check the MIOS site for more info. But I would perhaps stick to the LC design instead of creating a new MIOS app.

Hey, thats cool! Although I already have an analoge moog filter... cant miss a second one. Because of the room: I used this with my MB64 for future extensions, perhaps you could use it as well: I just brought all unused in/outputs of the core (and a few left ones from the DOUTs/DINs) to some kind of extension slot (its a PCB connector, 32 pole). If I gonna need that stuff, I´ll just put it into a second case, which looks like the first one (only smaller). Perhaps this with the SID?

Hi TK! Everything fine now (I think). Also I didnt try all out up to now. But everything looks just fine (App is loading now at last). But: You have to make the file with the hex2syx, cause otherwise the checksum will be wrong. I tried out both ways. Only the hex2syx way functioned. With changing the values by hand it did not at all. Just to let you know. Thnx again!

Cool, thnx TK. How old are you anyway? Are you doing (other) RPGs (than MUD)? Thnx again for your answers!

Those knobs are rocking! Cool one, TK. And really slim thing, too. Looking forward for the first demo MP3s! And also looking forward for me having enough money to get the encoders and PCBs I still need....argh.

MIDIboxes of the Week (MBSEQ of DriftZ, Traktor2 Controller of Zekill)
pay_c replied to TK.'s topic in MIDIbox of the Week
Dammit, I just cant wait until my MB is posted here... ;D ;D btw: Cool that the forum is online again, TK! -
Nearly the same question by me, but: Built the MB64 so far (nearly done, pictures to come, TK). I will use the F1-F4 for bankswitching. I also built in the 1-16 button (clearly) and the buttons 17-24. How to assign those? Is there some diagram or so? Can you also assign the ex/SS/left/right buttons?
-
Its a standard way to connect optocoupler that way. The diode is there to prevent damage to the IC if the MIDI is connected false... I think. I would reeeeaaally built it in.

kA Denke mal 15 Eu geht iO ;D Neeee, ich glaub 4 Eu duerfte das bei der Post kosten, oder? Hmmm, war scho lang nicht mehr... muss mal nachgucken.

The problem is certainly not the RAM, I think. More the question is, if there's a free timer Interrupt left in the PIC. And the only man who can answer this is... tadaaaaa.... Thosrsten!! So, what do you say, TK?
-
Yeah, the one with the sequencer. But aren't there some more, perhaps? Another question: Do you have any other "normal" hobbies, TK?

"SCUDs newly controlled by so-called Midiboxes - great improvement of accuracy" 8)
-
So, thats making the big latency times... thnx for that! About this 3cm thing: Accuracy? Whatever, nobody needs that and nobody will use the infrared sensor for mixing, I think. If you would be able to build it the analogue way, that would be such great. You can move your arm (hand) much faster than an pot. Some sportstime coming up for the MBHP people! ;D
-
Certainly, didnt say this wont work... It´s just better to gear up on the hardware side, because on the firmware side you´ll loose resolution (also this doesn´t matter to much if you dont stress that point to much). But certainly this also works.
-
Cool, I didnt know that! Everybody inside there! Coool!!

Hi again! This topic should be good for everyone who wants some closer look at "the grandmaster of PIC programming" TK. Here you can ask him all that stuff, what you normally wont do. Hopefully he answers... his decision. ;D So, here are my questions to TK: -Are there some more photos of you? -What are you working actually? -Are you married/have children (beside your MB childs?)? -If yes: How do you manage that!!!??? ;D -Are there *BIG* plans for the future? (like a MBCC - Celebral Control)

Hi! Just want to order the last parts & PCBs for my SID Synthi the next days. But if I´m ordering I also want to order one or two of the USB2MIDI devices. Is there any answer from Mike, when these will be available?

About the OPAmps: There are OPAmps (I just forgot the name of them now... ... argh ... ... nope, forgot it for the moment) which are running on monopol voltage (0 and 5V). And again *there* are two different types. The first one just amplifies from 0 to 5V. The second one produces the negative voltage in the IC and so can go from -5V to 5V (with a 0 to 5V supply!). So thats no problem. The touch strip: ... is no problem because the most touch strips are just touch resitors and can so be used like a (or two) normal pot(s). There already were some topics about that in the forum. The only problem is the price of them. They´re not the cheapest. The joystick: Yes, there is a built-in routine in MIOS to correct this. Its called deadband-value or so. Just download one of the examples with AIN and there you will see it. The range: Also everything already in MIOS. But that firmware solution of the PIC18F?? ... TK? Anything about this? The shooting: Certainly I can help you with this point. Where do you come from? ;D ;D LOL Hope this was helpful.
