    solution: use a high intensity led for both the "clipping" leds, each with their own resistor wired in series

    ... the problem with that is, that I'm using square LEDs for the meters and don't have a clue, where to get brighter ones. But since the clipping LED is the only RED one in the meterbridge, I wouldn't care to much when it's duller than the GREEN and YELLOW ones.

    Do I understand it right, that I could wire them in parallel, use the regular square one for the meter and buy high density ones for the clip-LED next to the fader.

    I then could raise the resistor value for the high density LED. As higher the resistor is, the less dull the one in the meterbridge would get?

    As leds shouldn't be connected parallel without own current limitting resistors - I would recommend just wiring connection from DOUT board before the current limiting resistor there, and using another resistor on that connection to the parallel leds.

    ... I don't really understand your description (language barrier or electronic dummy)  :-[

    I bought a LVDS flat panel with CRT-converter and inverter. I think they were thought to fit into laptops (exept of the converter).

    Could it be a problem, when I mount the inverter in the housing right behind the flat panel (like disturbing the picture)? Is it more clever to mount it at the base?

    Hi there

    Is it possible to connect LEDs parallel in a matrix... for example: In the MidiBox LC application, having the matrix for the LED meters. Then connect for the clip LED a second one to mount right above the fader and connenct it parallel to the clippinfg LED of the meter bar?

    If possible, would it also work with buttons?

    You dont need to and shouldn't wet your hands before applying soap. Why? Chemestry. The carbon chain of soap is going to bond with the oil and dirt first this way insted of the water

    Depends on what kind of soap you're using. The soap needs water, otherwise the OH- Ions don't have any effect on spliting the organic dirt.

    I think that they have the Alps N-Type faders... you have to check the type and/or have to measure the resistance.

    You propably can't use the original PCBs for the encoders and switches... I could imagine, that they implemented one big PCB for everything... perhaps you can customize it  ???

    I also think, that you don't have enough space inside to pack the MB-Boards into the case.

    ... and why would you wanna take the original Behringer case? - It looks so cheesy  ;D

    1:

    Meine Freundin erzählte mir, dass es sehr gut möglich sei, dass die Post von China so extrem Teuer sei. - Ihre Eltern bestellen des öftern Homeopathische Heilmittel von China und das Porto sei "schweine teuer".

    2:

    Bei den Angeboten auf E-Bay (welches ja auch nicht die original Displays sind), sieht man praktisch keine schlechten Bewertungen. was die Anzeige-Qualität betrifft. Man liest ab und zu, dass das Display nicht funktioniere... kann aber auch bei der Selbstmontage passiert sein.

    3:

    Falls ich verars...t werde, ist der Verlust nicht wenig aber auch nicht wirklich ein Vermögen. Wenn's klappt, ist dafür der Gewinn enorm. No risk - No fun ;D

    Ich werde den Typen, welchem ich zuerst geschrieben habe, mal nach dem Porto für eine Bestellung von mehreren Sücken anfragen. Ich nimm nicht an, dass dies z.B. 50 Stk. x 60$ sein wird.

    Jau, man kann definitiv nochmal nachhaken, ob die Dinger, die die Leute verkaufen wollen mit unseren Vorstellungen übereinstimmen (sprich Bild hinschicken oder Beschreibung). Ansonsten wäre das *!%%§$!!!

    Ich würde gerne vorher noch so ein Ding auf Ebay kaufen und mich nur kurz von der Anzeige Qualität überzeugen lassen

    Sind die normalen Versandkosten dann ebenfalls so hoch? Dann müsste man ja mindestens 30 bestellen, daß sich das näherungsweise lohnt

    ... sollte kein Problem sein. Ich würde 50 Stk. nehmen, Jack möchte 30 Stk. ... und wenn wir ein Posting im internationalen Forum machen, vermute ich, dass wir locker 100 Stk zusammen kriegen.

    Problem: Je grösser die Bestellung, desto grösser der Verlust, wenn wir über's Ohr gehauen würden  :-/

    Nice! And good idea with the fader start switches.

    My mothertongue is german (Swiss) but I had to try the translation link... whooaaahhh  :-/

    almost not readable... so I decided to translate your text for our english speaking friends... even thought my english isn't perfect at all.... but I think I beat the fckn computer.... yessssss  :-*

    I have to mention, that I only have basic electronic knowledge. Well, I soldered cables in the early days but soldering the PCBs was quite a challenge for me. Anyway, it took me nearly half a year (I don't have much time for my hobby) and several test setups to finally finish my MidiBox.

    The most challenging part was building the case. One of my most favorite tool is the Denon twin CD Player DN-2000.

    Once I thought, that the button layout would also fit for Traktor... but Traktor has got more functions. So I had to place additional buttons to the front panel. With the kind help of my father in law I drilled the holes in the middle part of the panel to get additional space for the required buttons. I also used the space of the original displays to add more buttons.

    Technically the controller is based on a regular Midibox64. Some AINs I abused for buttons. The original pitch faders are working as well (I think they have another rating than 100k) I'm spezially happy that I was able to hook the mixer faderstart switches to AINs (I think nobody was thinking about this so far).

    Well... since there is a real cable mess in the inside of the box and the additional buttons are sitting only on a provisional PCB (I kept the original DENON PCBs for the other keys, soldered cables to the pins and interrupted the conductive strips). I wouldn't risk a live performance gig with the box. Therefore I already have a spare used remote case (3 Rack spaces) lying around, just waiting for me to create a customized PCB to fit into it. - This has to become really professional looking... My project for the winter season.

    Irgend etwas muss da ja faul sein, denn die abgebildeten Rahmen haben alle den NOKIA Schriftzug eingestempelt. Ich glaube nicht, dass NOKIA das zulassen würde. Ich denke da läuft die selbe Sache wie das Kopieren von Schweizer Uhren. - Fakes... aber funktionstüchtig.

    Ich denke, dass diese billigen Ersatz displays alle aus der selben Fabrik in China oder Korea kommen.

    Was haltet Ihr davon:

    Von obigem Ebay-Anbieter ein Display als "Sample" kaufen und falls es i.O. ist, von China eine Bulk Bestellung machen.
