I mean the liks in the download list.
they all refer to "http://xlargex.xl.funpic.de/mainframe.php?color=blue&m_t=projects_menu&c_t=projects_content&menu_id=4&content_id=13#"
the links in the instrument section to the PDFs are working thou... :)

WOW! what a nice peace of (hard) work!
but I can't view the PCB Layout PDFs
just the links to the schematic JPGs are working :(

I found it! (wasn't that hard!)

Very nice!!! ^^
I just love those joyticks!
midiboxes just getting more and more professional ;)

hmmm, this problem occoured twice so far on my MBSID 1.7.
but after a reboot everything was fine again :)

I don't need a special patch to cause this failure.
I can use any WT patch I want... for example the SEQ TranceBass from your preset library.
When no note is played, i can tweak up the rate without problems.
but when i play a note via midi and tweak the rate up while the note is playing it causes a mios reboot, as soon as the rate goes higher than 127.

thanks!
tryed it and it works now :)

hello y'all!
When I turn the Wavetablespeed all the way up (actually when it's getting bigger than 127), the MBSID immediately is rebooting.
this bug is reproducabel on my system...

hello again...
at the moment I'm wondering how to connect a midi thru to mid SID.
where do i connect the LTC? as the port is allready used for the core interconnection...
best,
julian, gettig closer to the finished box.. ^^

I just refered to the datasheet I have for the LM3*7''s and it says they can handle about 1,5-2 A ...
the LM3*7 are not as hot as my LM7808 supplying my cores ;) (godda find better solution for this... mayber a 2nd transformer...)
anyway I've got a bad humming in the background, much too loud to ignore... :-p
godda improve my wiring I think!
about my progress in SDIY: yes, but i had very much ime in the last year ;) and if you don't at and sleep, because you have to solder you learn quick! *hrhr*
what are you doing besides midibox projects, moebius?
best,
julian

I just started with SDIY buisness about summer last year! before I had no idea of electroics ;)
I've go the PSU schematics from http://www.elektronik-kompendium.de ;)
what do you mean with undererstmated current? isn't 1A enough? (cause my regulators are getting REAL hot! I installed a real big heatsink yesteray, now it works)

this is the PSU I use...

with the encoders i've got no clue...
even the detented one isn't working propperly... tried again several speed values and encoder modes :-p
i replaced all but the menu one with voti encoders meanwhile :-p but they feel and behave much better, so it was worth the work!
for EMI:
the leds and dout pcb's are on the right side in my case and the core and sid are on the left side... about 20-30 cm between them.
even if i lift the frontpanel the noise is as loud as before...
maybe i'll make some experiments with some alu foil as shield ;)
but first i've got to improve my psu... it's getting too hot :-p
and for the end of the message a good news:
just got my second core and sid working ^^ *yeaih*
so just some cosmetic changes left over and the EMI problem...

hello :)
finally I've got MY SID CS running (so now entering final debugging stage)! it's soooo great to tweak the sound with encoders finally! ^^
but my Mod-Matrix behaves strange.
when no modultion is selected, the sid is very quiet... no humming or so.
but the more lights on the Matrix I activate, the more noise is heard on the audio out.
the funny thing is, its not only a humming thats gettig louder, it's more like a simple additive OSC *G*
every row got a slightly different humming and the more leds in a row are lit the louder the sound gets...
you can even set something that sounds like some kind of chord out of this noise...
but don't get me wrong, i don't like this noise at all and would love to get rid of it... ;)
any ideas?

julian
PS: I love holliday! finally enough time for the MIDIbox projects (but for nothing else ;)

Did you just flatten the kink or remove the spring completely?
I tried both. bending it down and removing it complete... same behaviour...
but now that i slept long enough, I'll give it another try ;)

yes i'm 100% sure i connected them the right way.
i changed the pinning for the voti encoder.
meanwhile i also tried different pinnings on the bourns encoder... that was just making it worse ;)
so, anybody here using non detented bourns encoders without problems?

I used the bourns encoders in my SID CS...
i modded all but the menu encoder as non detendet. when i check the encoders with my DMM everythng seems ok.
now i've got the problem with "skipping values"
I tried "detented" and "detented2" as well as "non-detented"
I've also tried several speed values, but nothing helps.
when I turn them fast, theres no problem, but I can't set exact values. for example when i try to transpose an OSC.
the values are going like 4,5,7,6,8,5,6,10,9,12,17... :( really annoying!
even my menu encoder, which is detented is skipping sometimes, but not that much.
moebius (or someone else?) I read you use the bourns encoders as well in non detended mode. any problems like this?
any suggestions?
so long,
julian
PS: I Just tryed a Voti encoder modded to non-detended. no problem here. works good. but i don't want to change all the encoders in my CS! (much work, specially when you think the bourns encoders must work as well). i noticed the bourns encoders got a much "cheaper" feeling when turning them. with the menu encoder i can change values by just moving it a little without a "click"

I can confirm this!
I had a 4x20 as test display on my MBSEQ...

MIDIbox SEQ V2.2

hello,
just uploaded the new SEQ code ^^
thanks TK, the drum mode is great! is it possible to mute single layers out of a drum track, or just the whole track?
further, i've found a little bug again ;)
when i'm in the menu (for example divider or groove) and more than one track is selected, mios is rebooting when I press one of the GP buttons.
best, wishes,
julian
