@katch: the 2 fader from the technics sl 1210mk turntables are linear ? @drin: yes i know, if i'm using the mouse too, i can do anything i want with the mouse , start,stop,....., the best thing is a real control from the computer, but not with traktor, i have read something in native intruments forum about osc protocol ( english correct ? ) ni works on it to make traktor 3 able to send information out, i hope to get information about that ableton can send midi messages ? greetz ranger930

hi katch, nice design, but traktor Version2 and a think traktor version 3 is not able to send midi message out from the computer to the controller, and that very bad, because i am building a controller like you, and i wan't to have status led's and LED VU Meter, please look under design concept in this forum, there is my design ( not finfished and not build ) @all member: i need information about osc protocol, any idea's ? after my holiday i will start. greetings ranger930

hi , @pay_c: i know the positions of the lcds are not so good, but i thing it's not necessary to have lcds for traktor, because traktor ist not able to send midi out events, now i decided to use only one lcd to read programing messages from mios, not integrated in the front panel, the push buttons are soldered directly on the pcbs, and this is a little board to check the middle posstion of the crossfader, i will use a small cheap microcontroler ( only 4 euro ), the led shows the middlepostion greetz ranger930

Moin, habe ich bislang auch nicht gefunden, aber ein Tip: ich habe versucht ein Platinenlayout ( also xxx.brd ) eines Modules in einer Demo Version von Eagle zu öffnen, geht nicht, bzw. erst ab Version 4.10, eine ältere Verion ( V4.03 ) hatte damit ein Problem, cadsoft hat aber auch einen ftp server, dort gibt es ältere Demo Versionen, wenn notwendig, mfg ranger930

hi, my first design idea for a traktor controller: i'm not shure , i hope, i can use all these funktions with traktor and 2 cores of Midi64E, the 2 big wheels will be made out of aluminium, the 2 small wheels ( for tempo control ) too, the small black push buttons are from conrad (germany) ( Anreihtaster), faders. pots and encoder are from alps, in the middle( top) you can see a jog dial from a Denon Double CD Player, ( cheap from Ebay), please tell me you opinions, ideas are very welcome, ranger930

Moin, traktor sendet keine midi out signale, soweit ich weiss, das remote pult von kontrol dj hat aber led's, die schaltzustände darstellen. für schalter is klaar aber buttons sind nicht sicher, mfg ranger930

Moin Pay_c, erstmal respekt, da hasst du dir ja ein cooles zauberkästchen gebaut, echt geil das ding, ich habe einige Fragen an dich: gibt es irgendwo lineare fader mit mittenrastung für den crossfader ? hab leider bislang keine im Internet gefunden, was genau kannst du mit den scratch wheels in traktor anstellen ? muss man ein Display haben ? dies konnte ich auch durch lesen sehr vieler beiträge bislang nicht ergründen, deine potis und fader haben 10K oder ? hier nochein kleiner tip von mir: ich bin gerade dabei mir das scratch wheel zu entwickeln, dazu habe ich eine defekte festplatte aufgeschraubt und die Scheibe entfernt, hat ca. 10 cm durchmesser , innen 3 cm, absulut rund, und relativ schwer, mal sehen, ob ich daran einen encoder befestigen kann, mfg ranger930

Moin, erstmal danke für die Info's, hab noch eine Verständnisfrage: wenn ich Poti's, Buttons, Switches und Encoder benutzen will, mit welcher Software sollte dann der PIC programmiert werden, unter MIDIbox64 beispielsweise steht nicht von Encodern, oder muss das Programm im PIC dafür modifiziert werden ? Moin, ich möchte mir einen Controller für Traktor 3 bauen, mit Potis, mit Fadern und mit Encodern, wie ich Potis und Fader verdrahten muss ist klar, aber die Encoder, muss ein Encoder 2 Ports benutzen ?, wie ist die Verschaltung zu löten, es gibt diverse versch. Encoder, kann mir bitte jemand Tips geben, welche Encoder benutzt werden sollten, Ich möchte auch zwei grosse Jog Wheels haben ( wie bei dem Bedienteil Kontrol DJ ), gibt es Jog Wheels irgendwo in Deutschland zu kaufen oder muss ich diese selbst bauen, ich habe bei Alps Encoder gefunden, sind diese immer ohne Achse ?, gibt es auch Encoder mit Achse ?
