  1. Nice stuff, reminds me of Centry or some of the other dubs on Universal Egg. The Iron Flute version is good stuff, mind if I play it out?
  2. Nice! You could build a monome clone that out-monome's the monome! The buttons look pretty translucent as well, stick some LED's in and you're away!
  3. I don't suppose we could get a video of you jamming with it could we? :-* pretty please?
  4. Nice! Methinks a Midibox Theremin is in order...
  5. Ye gods man! What a badboy... Good work on the Led Matrix, I'm currently planning a 7x8 button grid for triggering clips in ableton (6 channels and one coloumn for the scene triggers) so yours will be an invaluable resource!
  6. Nice! I wonder if you could use those heatsinks as actual heatsinks....
  7. Sweetness! We should have a race to see who can make a Midibox for every Reason instrument. :)
  8. No. :) That was Stevie Hyper D if I'm not mistaken.
  9. They are seriously cool. I'm gonna have to get me some, and only £3.51? It's too good to be true!
  10. That's a bit unfair...I'll admit there's a lot of crap DNB out there, but there's also some really interesting stuff that's really well produced.
  11. There's actually quite a few different aspects to drum and bass, you can't really call it jungle nowadays. Breakcore is probably the closest sound to jungle, check out Planet Mu for the grimy stuff. There's quite a lot of deep intelligent drum and bass being made, if you're into that sort of thing have a listen to Deep Blue, Electrosoul Sound System, Breakage, Seba & Paradox, Illogic & Raf... Good stuff for a shuffle on the dancefloor. ;)
  12. Hmm...that reminds me. I've got a knackered old iBook sitting in drawer somewhere, there must be some bits I could plunder from that.
  13. OT..sorry, but this reminds me of the time machine scene in Napolean Dynamite so much... ;D
  14. If you click on the uCapps and DokuWIKI buttons at the top of the page, there'll be some great stuff there. I don't think so, it's a good idea though. Most synths all require the same basic controlls. Look around at synths you can buy commercially, and at the functiions you most use on your software. buttons are handy for turning filters and envelopes on and off and playing with lfo types and the like. Plus, buttons look pretty cool. Read the MB64 section on the uCapps site and have a look at the Electronic Basics thread in the Tips and Tricks forum. Type in MIDI ino Wikipedia and you'll be lead to some good information explaining the fundamentals and how it integrates with software. Sorry I can't provide more detailed information, but it's all covered much more thoroughly throughout the Midibox Forum, the uCapps Website and the MidiboxWiki. The forum search is an invaluable tool, as is printing out all the MB64 Spec/Design PDFs (on the uCapps website) to refer to easily while your working. Good luck!
  15. Now that is an idea! Imagine if you had a whole load of live perrformance midiboxes all in militant ammo boxes and shell cases. You'd have to playing stomping ragga jungle, but it would still look sweet.
