  13. After searching the web in regards to silkscreening, you're right this method is expensive! Unless you are doing the same panel in batches.
  14. I'm in the same boat as you are!! I have completed my MBSEQ, but still deciding on to what enclosure, front panel, & panel labelling to go about. So far, I have been reading about silkscreening labelling. Do a search in this forum about silkscreen, maybe this can give you an idea. The reason why I might go about silkscreen method, because you can print the labels on almost any surface.
  15. Dude, You got that right!! The Radium looks very cheap, compare to your SID-NUXX!! ;D M-Audio should consult you regarding visual/color scheme design!! Coz, that SID is sweet look'n. ;) l8r..
  16. If you where here back then in SoCal, that highway is the 405 freeway around Long Beach and Carson!! I used to see their ads on the freeway back then on my way to my girlfriends house. All decked-out with a some what Flock of Seagulls haircut, a very skinny green neck tie and a sport jacket!! ;D ;D Goooooo 80's..
  17. Dude, its never to late!! I am still deciding on which one I will build!! Thanks for the link!!
  18. Just a follow-up on this post. When I saw this post by SmashTV, specially the picture of the encoder spring, I simply follow the instruction by SmashTV on how to increase the tension on the spring.. http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=3299.30 I think this solved the problem with the Bournes encoder. I'm not sure if this is permanent, only time and amount of use can tell. Now the modified encoder seems to click better than before, and the result of the increment is almost dead on, "one click, one increment". :D Also, the modified ones have more "thunk" to it. Now I have 10 more encoders to take apart for this mod fix. Be carefull on this type of mod, I almost broke 3 encoders with this process.. thanks..
  19. Yeah I think its this one: http://www.west-ext.com/little_man.html
  20. Oh,, I got it.. ;D Sorry for that dumb a$$ questions. :-[ I was looking around Eagle Control Panel for that settings. I should have consulted the KISS rule!! At least I gain a few points for this post, in order to have a "MidiBox Tweaker" status.. ;D ;D thanks Steve..
  21. Thanks for the info guys... With this single post I have learned so much already.. I haven't made my PCB since the late 80's, and now, I'm starting again,, after 17 yrs of electronics and PCB hiatus!! and boy tools have changed quiet a bit!! Back then I use a Radio Shack PCB transfer sheets to make PCB traces that you rub on to the copper side. Since Dremmel was very expensive back then, I got instead the knock off version of it by IsoTip, the MINIDRILL 6636. I guess its time for me to upgrade my gears :-\.. thanks again to the tips and links.
  22. Yo! Steve, Where did you get the drill press for dremell? That is sweet look'n :o I did not know that it exist. thanks..
  23. Question about paper size printing in Eagle. When I select print, I noticed that the paper size that Eagle defaults to is A4, How can I change the printing default to LTR? The reason is, here in the US, LTR is the common paper size in use by most of printer, fax and copier machines. So everytime I send a print job to the printer, it keeps asking for "to insert A4 paper". :( thanks.
